And finally, it's day 5 of Veterinary Appreciation Week, and we're celebrating Dr. Mielke!

Meet Dr. Bailey Mielke:

Dr. Mielke just celebrated her fifth year at Gratiot Animal Hospital.
She is very active in her community volunteering for Saginaw County Animal Care and Control and being a part of the Saginaw County Young Professional Network. She enjoys golfing, camping, traveling, and gardening on her very little free time. If Dr. Mielke could be anything other than a veterinarian, she would prefer to either be an athletic trainer or an interior decorator. Her favorite food is any sort of taco, due to the wide variety of options. If caught at a karaoke party, Dr. Mielke’s go to song would be anything Taylor Swift. A few fun facts about Dr. Mielke are that her favorite beverage is wine, her favorite candy is chocolate or sour patch kids, and if she could have any superpower she would like to fly. ⛳️⛺️🌮🎤👩‍🎤🍷🍫🦸‍♀️

Day 4 features Dr. G! Happy Veterinary Appreciation Week!

Meet Dr. Sheryl Gilbert:

Dr. Gilbert just recently celebrated 35 years here at Gratiot Animal Hospital!! On Dr. Gilbert’s free time, she enjoys relaxing with family and friends. Her favorite part about veterinary medicine is helping new pet parents with their new puppies and/or kittens. If Dr. Gilbert had to be anything other than a veterinarian, she would choose to own a high end wedding venue. A few fun facts about Dr. Gilbert is that her favorite candy is Heath bars, her favorite drink is Coke, and if she could have any superpower, it would be the power to end violence, poverty, and cruelty in the world. 🐶🐾🐱👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏼‍♂️🍫🥤🦸🏻‍♀️🕊️

Day 3 is for Dr. Ryan!! Veterinary Appreciation Week!!

Meet Dr. Ryan McNally:
Dr. Ryan just recently celebrated 15 years here at Gratiot Animal Hospital, although he has been here for plenty more years than that before he received his DVM. Dr. Ryan loves grilling, fishing, and occasionally golfing on his free time. His favorite food is anything seafood related and in another life would love to be a fishing boat captain someplace warm. While Dr. Ryan does love all animals short and tall, he does have a fear of spiders and butterflies. He has been working on conquering these fears and recently saved the entire clinic from a very large spider with Dr. D’Anna’s assistance. A few fun facts about Dr. Ryan are that his favorite beverage is Diet Coke, his favorite candy is Skittles, and if he could have any superpower he would love to fly. 🐠🐟🏌️‍♂️🚣‍♂️🎣🦸‍♂️

Day 2 of Veterinary Appreciation week!!

Today we are celebrating Dr. Courtney D'Anna!!

Meet Dr. Courtney D’Anna:
Dr. D’Anna just recently celebrated 1 year here at Gratiot Animal Hospital. Dr. D’Anna enjoys spending time with her friends and family around the pond and wooded areas when able. Her favorite part about veterinary medicine is helping animals feel better. If she could only have 1 food for the rest of her life, she would enjoy apples of all varieties. If Dr. D’Anna could be anything other than a veterinarian, she would love to be a pediatric nurse. She currently spends her free time coaching youth soccer and helping out around her local school district. A few fun facts about Dr. D’Anna are that her favorite candy is dove chocolate, her favorite drink is coffee, and if she could have any superpower she would choose to have healing abilities for all. 🍏🍎⚽️☕🩷🩺🩹

We are excited to be celebrating Veterinary Appreciation Week this week!!

Our first veterinarian to be featured is our Fearless Owner/Leader/DVM, Dr. Dwight McNally!!

Meet Dr. Dwight McNally:
Dr. McNally will soon be celebrating 40 years here at Gratiot Animal Hospital!! On Dr. McNally’s little bit of free time, he enjoys working on his yard (have you noticed the landscape here at Gratiot Animal Hospital?!) and spending time up north. If Dr. McNally had a change of a career path, he would love to be a landscape architect. Without hesitation, Dr. McNally would choose to eat juicy hamburgers for life (definitely not Brussels Sprouts or Kale). Dr. McNally’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is how rewarding and gratifying it is to “fix” animals in need. A few fun facts about Dr. McNally is that his favorite candy is anything chocolate, his favorite animal is a dog, and if he could have any superpower he would like the ability to fly. 🦸‍♂️🐾🍔❤

Dog Found in Saginaw/Swan Valley area: 6/13/24

Does anyone recognize this dog????

This sweet dog was picked up around Swan Creek & Miller Rds late last night. The dog is definitely someone’s baby, crate trained, good with other dogs, quiet; unfortunately, no microchip. Please contact our office at 989-781-3600 for further information.
