It is with a heavy heart we announce that the female corgi we intended to breed in 2024 recently passed after being hit by a truck.
She passed immediately and didn’t suffer. She was very deeply loved, and will be terribly missed.

What a fun morning!!! If you guys have kiddos ages 8-17 bring them to PI at the airport to Fly. Both Teddy and Trai were BEAMING as their amazing pilots allowed them to steer and fly for a bit!

Holy fudgicle!! I made this chocolate crèmeux last night with some cream and milk I needed to use up.
It’s frozen right now, but scoops like a thick smooth custard and tastes like a smooth, rich fudgicle ice cream 😮
I made my lovely husband Travis A. Parent try it. He’s gotten tired of all the sweets I’ve been making haha so if you guys would like me to bake more for you, please reach out!!
We will be a bit busy for the next week getting the cows out to pasture and the pigs situated, but after that… hold on tight, you’ve got some homemade summer sweets coming your way! 🥰😊

Mother’s day!!
This is Big Momma. She is a beautiful BIG girl, we estimate her weight at close to 1,800 pounds live weight before being out on pasture for the summer.
There’s a reason I caught a picture of her mid cud chewing. Look at those teeth!! Zoom in if you have to.
Notice her lateral incisors? (The teeth all the way to the sides). At six years of age those teeth grow in line with the rest of the front teeth. Hers are beginning to wear back down again (completely normal).
This shows her advanced age! She is one of the last of our herd that came from before we started our ear piercings (as seen on 2202 chilling in the background).
Big momma has minimal records before 2018, so we know this girl is not only older than 6, but approaching 10 years old!
Due to her advanced age (for a beef cow), she ended up losing her calf this spring because of a bit of arthritis in her hip, she accidentally squished her calf trying to get up 😢
Knowing she has been an incredible momma, producing some of the best calves on our farm to date, and knowing how deeply it hurt her (she’s been very depressed since losing her calf), I’ve trained her to understand what a halter is and how to respond to a lead rope so I can bring her in to spoil her without all of the other cows barging into the barn.
She’s been getting some joint supplements and a bit of cow aspirin for the past two weeks. We’ve seen some great improvements, decreased pain response (limping/walking slowly with uneven stride lengths/tail swatting without flys/facial expression etc), and increase of positive mood (no pun intended) and mobility!!
She’s been such a good girl and has stopped trying to kick me when I treat her udder (they get kind of droopy with age just like us, so I have been making sure they stay clean and not get any bacteria in there).
So I was doing some research on pricing for ice cream sandwiches for sh*ts and giggles…
What the heck??!

This is what we mean by free ranging!! These girls are spoiled rotten and have plenty of choice to go in the barn where they have food and water on hand 24/7. They often just follow me around the farm (my foul gang).
Getting some help to feed the cows from my awesome sister Angie (animal therapy is the best kind there is, especially the silly antics these guys come up with!)

Man, these birds are living the dream!! We had a bit of raw milk that was starting to sour, so the girls got to enjoy some. And boy did they enjoy it!!
Sometimes we get a cracked egg, but not to worry Ernie will take care of it!!
Join us for our afternoon farm yoga session with Boomer the pony as our instructor! Step one: place tasty treat just out of reach on the other side of the fence. Step two: reach for it! Some helpful modifications: For an easier stretch, use a higher fence. For a more advanced stretch, use an electric fence. 🥴
What a wonderful morning this was. March 15, 2021 calf 2103 (Mo) was born! This was a smooth, easy calving with a great trusting momma. Hopefully we get to catch another calving this year! 😊🙏
Cows decided it was time to move pastures this morning! Having well-trained cows makes it so easy!
