Last week I trapped these three kitties in the parking lot at the correctional center. In the process of helping Charlotte (From Feral to Forever) rescue another cat that was injured. He is now in good hands with Jamie (Cat Crusaders) his name is Ellis and will have surgery this Friday.
It really does take a village!!
The two black cats we named Parole (male) and Lam (female). The white & gray kitty (male) was already named Furlo by an office administrator. The black kitties are bonded, friendly but nervous. I wanted to share a picture of them enjoying some petting & acclimating to a home environment. They are in cages so they get use to human contact.
Furlo as you can see in the post has a custom food dish made for him by someone that fed and befriended him at the prison. (She may adopt him). Furlo is very cautious & is less fearful already. He seems to love watching T.V.
These kitties will be added to our website when they are ready to be adopted.

UPDATE: We are so overjoyed that ROBIN has found his forever home! After 3 surgeries in his mouth and MONTHS of antibiotics he is 98% better! His new mama will continue giving him the care he needs! And give him the best life he deserves! Thank you to everyone that donated and made this possible!😊

You know her story. 14 years old, only 5 lbs and recovering from neglect. She/we, need your support in this last fundraiser of ours for a couple of months. Your donation helps us provide her with medical care and food while we search for someone to take this sweetheart. We have had no one step forward with interest.

And as always, we try to have a little something for folks to thank you for your donations and this month it is a $300 karaoke machine to be raffled, sure to liven up your Christmas and New Year's get togethers. Angel loves to play with wands and toys. She would do well with a family that has kids to entertain her. She is up-to-date on vaccines,fixed and looking for a family to love her forever!

The vets have told us this old gal is about 14 years old. She was removed from a home that had many cats and the owner was not able to properly care for them. As you know, cats with long hair need to be brushed regularly to prevent clumping and this was not happening for Snowball. We were able to remove some of the clumps and had to bring her to the vets to have the rest shaved off. You can see in the photos after she was shaved, that she had open sores under her clumps. You will also notice this poor old gal weighed just 5 lbs. She is scheduled December 19 for a dental at the vets to take care of some teeth that may be the cause of an infection that she was treated for.
She absolutely loves being pet and giving kisses. We think it had been some time since she had been pet because the massive clumps prevented it. She pleases easily and has fun making dough with her front paws. We know folks really like kittens but wouldn’t it be great if one of you has some love and affection and a home to share with this old gal now that we have rescued her. A warm place and good food and lots of petting to ride out the rest of her life.
If you can’t take her in, please consider donating to her. The donations for this raffle, our last for a couple of months, will directly benefit Snowball as we help her put on weight and take care of her teeth. Tinsel and Frankie are 10.5 month old sisters who are co-parenting their kittens. These poor kitties are now warm have full bellies and free of parasites but most importantly they feel safe and loved!

Madison is looking for her forever home. She is the last of her 4 siblings to be adopted because she is shy. She has come so far and is even choosing to sleep in bed against my legs. She has had both her distemper shots, rabies vaccine and is FeLV/FIV negative and of course fixed.

Spin for winner of pumpkin. This month's raffle was to benefit Sparky and we are happy to announce he has found his forever home. The additional money raised for the beautiful full size quilt will go to Robin. This sweetheart has been in the rescue for 4 months battling fevers and difficulty eating. After several specialist, we were told to wait until today, a week after the appointment, for doctor to consult with his colleagues. As of this writing, they have not called despite my calling in to check. We think, even at this young age, she may need all her teeth removed. Watch Facebook for updates on this poor baby.
