Hi all! Just wanna go over a few things with hunting season starting 9/1
Please remember ~

WE TAKE TIME AWAY FROM OUR FAMILIES TO HELP YOU!

Please try to mark first blood and last blood, do not rely on apps like OnX as they are not always 100% accurate. You can use things like string, Toilet paper, or ribbon ect.

Do not walk directly on the blood trail. Walk just off to the side of it as much as possible. The more you track blood around the harder it is for our dogs. Try to call a dog before you grid search. We appreciate your efforts in looking before calling us however it can make it harder for the dogs.

Please be patient and respectful to the trackers. A lot of us have full time jobs and families. We get tons of calls a day. We unfortunately cannot go on every call we receive.

What an amazing weekend at the Larry, Jay and Joel seminar! 3 great trainers with tons on knowledge! “After hours” the show didn’t stop drinks with Larry and Joel in the bar and deep dog conversation conversations with Jay in the hallway.

From • : K9 Nova and Corporal Wehman had another great track yesterday, June 17th, 2024. At approximately 4:32 PM EPD received a call that a child had run away from their mom about 15 minutes before calling the police. Upon the officer’s arrival they learned that the child may have run into the nearby woods to the river. K9 Nova was deployed and after a quick track, she located the juvenile in the river. The child was unharmed and swiftly returned to their family. Great job team!

Little fun fact i learned today. They have dogs that detect waste water leaks.. yes you read that right. Waste/ sewage water.. it’s actually a good podcast worth listening to. Did you learn anything new this week? Bonus points if it’s dog related!

Yesterday I got to meet with this 1.5yr old mailinois. He comes with some human reactivity. After spending some time with him and getting him to trust me a little bit I was able to take off his muzzle. We ended up being able to play a lot of games together! His owner a young adult has done such a fantastic job with all the basics obedience! I mean this dog is smart and knows it all! With a little guidance and patience he will become a happy confident dog that knows the boundaries and rules.

Got the pleasure of meeting these two today! Riley the 4y old lab is pretty well trained. The owners just got this 14wk old lab/golden retriever mix and wanted some clarification & reinsurance they were on the right track on raising a well behaved puppy!

Let me tell you what the owners are crushing it! Hand feeding and working all basic commands! Very eager to make sure they have a well-behaved pup keep up the good work! 

I know, I know, I need to learn how to take better pictures 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

kylo a 20wk GSD who iv been working with the last few weeks. The first picture was as close as I could get to him. He is skittish of new people and lacks confidence. With guidance and clarity, treats and play kylo has been eating out of my hand. We still have a ways to go building up his confidence. We are making good progress.
