Joanne comes to us from the mountains of Colorado. She is a kind, caring, professional groomer with more than 25 years of experience.

As a teenager she started pet sitting and cleaning horse stalls. She was active in the local 4H program and participated in fostering dogs for the blind. She graduated BEL Ray Institute of Veterinary Technology in 2001 but went back to school and became a professional groomer as she discovered her joy for grooming.

Joanne gathered a lot of experience working for several boarding facilities and has successfully owned and sold 2 grooming shops during her career.

She recently moved to Florida to spend more time with her family and her teenage twins. She loves horses (next to dogs of course) and hiking in her spare time.

Her Motto is: “making the world smell better one dog at a time.”

Plugging away…. This is Cheswick, the first fog to oficially jump off our dock…He came in third in the Akc Purina Dock Diving Challenge. The owner Breck will be our dock diving instructor…..

Most exciting agility competition I have watched in my entire career. amazing athletic ability from both the human and the canine competitors . The UKI open championships are being held this weekend at the Jacksonville Equestrian in Center. Tomorrow are finals which should be super exhilarating for spectators to watch. It’s free.

First time at Dock Diving!!! She loooooooved it and I had to drag her away when we were done!!!!!

Time to get the show on the road! Saga earned the highest class (Master) Rally Obedience title last month (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Excellent and Master). Her high Rally scores got us invited to the AKC National Championship in Wilmington where she received high 195 and 198 (out of 200) scores! She earned her CD Obedience Title (Companion Dog), her Canine Good Citizen and Urban Canine Good Citizen title, her Novice Nosework Title and Advanced Trick Dog Title (Will go for her Performer and possibly Elite Performer (highest title) before her 2nd birthday at the end of January) She has been medically cleared to participate in all dog sports after her heart surgery and recovery. 2023 will be the beginning of our Frisbee, Agility, Flyball, Dock Diving and maybe FASTCAT career. This is where the real fun begins!!!!!! I've always wanted to teach a dog the foot stall......(it may become part of our future frisbee freestyle routine) Here it is the first time trying by ourselves. Tried it twice with help and had built a post with two shoes screwed on to practice..... I needed to learn just as much as she did ....think we both figured out what to do though.... 😃

We just returned from the AKC Rally Obedience Nationals this weekend in Ohio...... Summary: 1. I am forever grateful to have had my supportive husband by my side. Thank you Scott, my knight in shining armor! 2. Super proud of Saga's performance. Perfect score is 100. We scored a 192 and a 197. Having qualified at under the age of one for the Nationals was in itself a huge accomplishment. 3. We have a list of things to improve upon. 4. We had FUN! 5. I love our little R.V. It is perfect. 6. Cracker Docking is neat.....Look it up (It's a real thing)
