Prayers are needed… At midnight, Jan. 26, Ayla’s Acres Sanctuary experienced another fire. This time the modular home was completely destroyed.

At this time, this is what we know.
1. Nedra is safe.
2. Chuck was taken to Shands Burn Unit in Gainesville.
3. Two dogs, Birdie and Beau are safe.
4. Two birds, Sugar and Guacamole are safe.
5. All of the remaining animals in the house were lost to the fire.

We have an immediate need for foster homes. We have 8 dogs and 4 cats that need housed. We supply everything they need.

We will also need homes for 3 donkeys and 4 horses.

At this time, the Bureau of Fire, Arson and Explosives is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.

Please keep Chuck, Nedra, and all of these animals in your prayers.

We will update you as we have more information. If you’d like to donate in support, please see our bio for donation button, or visit our website, www.aylasacres.org

Please keep Chuck, Nedra, and all of these animals in your prayers.

We will update you as we have more information.

Our hearts are full!

After 20 months as a foster, loads of training, dedicated dog walkers, and an outpouring of love, Willow has been adopted. With the help of our Ayla's Acres volunteers Sharon, Brittany, Cathy, and Lisa--Suzanne, Willow's trainer, and everyone who was involved with Willow, she has found her home.

Jake and Tianna adopted Willow. They are the perfect fit for this beautiful dog. She is adjusting to her new surroundings...and all of the love she is receiving.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you Jake and Tianna for loving our beautiful Willow.

Where Are They Now?

Approximately 3 1/2 years ago Ayla's Acres eight dogs from a home in Jacksonville. There were three adult dogs and five 4 week old puppies.

All of the dogs were filthy, full of worms, and malnourished. It took some time to get these pups healthy and ready for adoption.

Sky was one of the pups. She was about three years old when rescued. She was a timid, scared, little girl.

Sky was adopted by Gina and Charles. Their love and care, along with the support of their dog Wallace, has helped Sky to become a happy, healthy, loving member of the family.

Wallace and Sky get along famously. Sky enjoys her play toys, riding in the car, and hanging with her Mom and Dad. She looks terrific.

Sky-it fills our hearts with absolute joy to see you thriving. We're so happy to see you confident and loved!

A big thank you to the for awarding Ayla's Acres No Kill Animal Rescue, Inc. a 2024 Disaster Grant!

We are using the grant to repair buildings and fencing due to Hurricane Helene. On September 26, 2024, Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue’s sanctuary took a direct hit from Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 hurricane. A total of 60 animals live and receive care at the sanctuary in Greenville, FL-Madison County. Due to preparations taken prior to the storm, no animal was injured or killed. However, important buildings on the property had extensive damage including the barn, the tack house, the main house, and fencing.

The tack house and the main house have been repaired. The barn has been assessed, and fence repairs are on going.

Thank you Petfinder Foundation for your support.

This is an amen and hallelujah story about Mayer.

Ayla's Acres pulled Mayer from Putnam County Animal Control. He was literally skin hanging on bones. Our Chris M. was responsible for making this happen. From there, Mayer went to Melanie and Emmett's home to gain strength, trust, and to be loved.

Mayer was heartworm positive, not neutered, full of worms. In short, he was a mess. Over the past year, he has been treated for heartworms, been neutered, etc. and definitely been loved.

Melanie and Emmett have made it official. Mayer has been adopted by Emmett and Melanie. He joins their other dogs Daisy Mae, Hope, Nico, Nina, Gracie, and Maddie. He's one lucky boy!

Thank you Mel and Emmett for caring for Mayer over this past year. We know he's truly loved.

Our Story

The Challenge – In northeast and north central Florida, more than 30,000 animals are euthanized every year. This region, like many others in our country, faces the challenging problems that result from failure to address and resolve companion animal overpopulation issues. These issues directly affect the quality of life for both animals and people in the counties we serve.

As a result, thousands of animals – many unwanted and/or abused, end up in shelters, animal control facilities or left homeless and abandoned. This problem is overwhelming for most communities and must be addressed proactively in order to enhance the lives of the people and the animals living there. The Response - Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue Inc. is committed to helping north Florida be a role model for humane animal care and concern. The animal welfare community in Duval County, FL is proactively addressing the overpopulation of animals through aggressive spay and neuter, and Ayla’s Acres strives to extend this model to underserved communities and surrounding counties in northeast and north central Florida. We have established a threefold approach to address the overpopulation problem.
