COURTESY POST!
Max is in urgent need of a foster or adopter. He’s been waiting to find a home of his own at Putnam County Animal Shelter for over a year. Staff and volunteers are really rooting for this sweet boy. Long term shelter dogs are especially vulnerable to decline in mental and emotional health. His supporters are working hard to get him into a quiet, loving home where he can feel safe and cared for.
Please reach out to Paws for Putnam by clicking the link below if you can open your heart and home to sweet Max

Our Story

The Challenge – In northeast and north central Florida, more than 30,000 animals are euthanized every year. This region, like many others in our country, faces the challenging problems that result from failure to address and resolve companion animal overpopulation issues. These issues directly affect the quality of life for both animals and people in the counties we serve.

As a result, thousands of animals – many unwanted and/or abused, end up in shelters, animal control facilities or left homeless and abandoned. This problem is overwhelming for most communities and must be addressed proactively in order to enhance the lives of the people and the animals living there. The Response - Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue Inc. is committed to helping north Florida be a role model for humane animal care and concern. The animal welfare community in Duval County, FL is proactively addressing the overpopulation of animals through aggressive spay and neuter, and Ayla’s Acres strives to extend this model to underserved communities and surrounding counties in northeast and north central Florida. We have established a threefold approach to address the overpopulation problem.
