There are so many ways to treat IVDD - surgery , medication, physical rehabilitation - and pros and cons to all approaches. Any breed with an extra long or extra short spine is predisposed to IVDD.

After 3 laser treatments in total, this hen with moderate frost bite is back to normal and laying. She didn't lose any tips!

Comb frostbite update
These photos are 1 week later with 3 consecutive laser treatments on day 1, 2, 3.
Looking amazing!!
• I'm confident we're not going to lose the tips, that tissue looks amazing.
• Healing time is twice as fast when treated with laser because the vasodilation sends fresh oxygen, protein and nutrients to the site, and clears old, stagnant lymph.
• Pain is controlled, because, science.

If you'd like to get on the laser schedule, message ASAP to treat those frostbites. Otherwise, let's hope we don't have to talk about this until next year (or beyond!)

Frostbite after 1 laser treatment.
No topicals or any debriding, etc.
Although it's subtle, I urge everyone to examine closely. My eyes see that the swelling (edema) is down, comb tips are pinkening up (less yellow dead scab) indicating increased perfusion and decreased tissue damage. Looking forward to seeing tomorrow after treatment #2 tonight.
