What an amazing transport to start the 2025 year off with! It was a loooong, cold 16 hour day. We hit some bad weather during transport but made it back safely and it worth every second! We got to save these 25 amazing dogs lives.

We were told that possibly 5 of the dogs we were picking up had cardiac issues. While we knew that was a huge financial commitment if all 5 turned up to have heart problems, but we couldn’t say no to saving them. 4 out of those 5 dogs visited our vet immediately after intake yesterday and out of those 4, 2 of them do have cardiac issues and will need a further work up at 4 Paws Imaging Centers LLC. to see what the next steps are for them, meaning we will find out if they have a PDA and will need heart surgery or not. Our 5th pup will be headed to the vet this week to determine if she also has issues going on with her heart.

You may have seen or heard us talking about our Guardian Heart Initiative Launch Party happening on March 7th at 4 Paws Imaging Centers LLC. Those 5 dogs who had suspected heart issues on this transport are the reasons we’ve started this initiative - to ensure we can say yes to saving dogs with cardiac issues without having to make a decision on their life based off of finances. PDA surgery for an individual dog cost approx. $4,000.

We've had two years of Peanut, previously know as Greg ❤️❤️❤️

He came out of his nervous shell and has shown himself to be the friendliest & most loving dog. He is living the good life he deserves. He can’t live without his brother and sister, and they can’t live without him. He completed the pack. His favorite toy is Benebones!

Squash is a 8 month old Great Dane with a charming disposition. She's interested in other dogs and warms up with time to new human friends! Squash is doing well with crate training - she settles in well. She's also doing well with potty training! Squash loves her blankets and stuffies, and always appreciates a good bed for a nap.
