TRHAP is a 100% volunteer. 501c3 non profit that helps rehab and rehome animals. 100% foster based. We are located in Belmont County Ohio.

We are licensed by Ohio Agriculture Dept, Division of Animal Health and we are a 501c3, non-profit organization. It is our mission to help animals in need. We work with dogs, some small companion animals and livestock on a limited basis and on foster availability. We do not handle cats because there are numerous organizations in our area that work with and only handle cats. Animals that come into

our rescue are from owner surrenders, shelters, medical cases that were surrender to veterinarians, unwanted animals from breeders. WE NEVER BUY OR PAY FOR ANIMALS THAT COME INTO OUR RESCUE. We do not have a specific facility. Any housing of animals will be on a foster and volunteer basis. We do not have animals living in crates or kennels. We have them in foster homes and livestock on farms. We educate animal owners on the proper care of their animals. We will work together with animal owners to place animals in need into loving, forever homes. Dogs receive the following as routine care; Heart worm & Lyme testing, dewormings, microchip, Dhlppc or Dhlpp vaccines, Lyme vaccines, Kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine and spay & neuter. Dogs may receive bloodwork , dentals, x-rays, or any additional care recommended by our vets. If they are Heartworm positive or Lyme positive, we treat them. We adopt to approved homes (includes out of state). We require an application to be completed before meeting a dog. If you are the approved adopter, we will reach out to you to make arrangements. Unfortunately, we cannot contact everyone individually that applied for an animal. We are almost always available, but please respect our hours. We are a member of the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce. We are also partnered with Belmont County Sheriff's Office to build the first dog park in the county.

Meet Drover. He is a 1 year old fully vetted male beagle/heeler mix that needs to lose a couple pounds. He is almost house trained, dog friendly & loves to play ball . He would thrive with an active family and/or a fenced yard with a fur sibling who likes to play.

A lot of people have been asking about Annika . Here is a little update from her new momma.

Anni has megaesophagus and one of the medications for treatment is Sildenafil- it’s working so well for her! We haven’t had any puking or regurgitation in over a month! Pics for proof of happiness 🤪🥰 I am so in love with this girl & her crazy personality!!

Petey update! 📣
He's doing great! He came in to us about 4 weeks ago after having a bowel obstruction when he ate a corn cob. Owner surrender.

We are now taking apps on him! Sweet sweet boy that has come a long ways since being with us. Been working on all the puppy stuff and meeting new people- now they aren't as scary! He loves to play with other dogs and lay next to you to get lots of love! ❤️

Roxie 💗
6yr old female Bichon. She's a former mill mom that did not have a great life prior to arriving to us. Roxie loves the little dog in her foster home.... .lays next to him, goes out in the yard with him. We would love to find a home for her that has another small laid back dog to be friends with. If you think you could be great home for her, please apply. Roxie's foster mom would love to talk to you about her! She doesn't mind cats and wouldn't be much fun for kids. Older home is best for this sweet girl.

Set up is 8am-1030am. Event starts at 11am and gate will be closed at that time. Please check in at top of hill by the Rec Center with one of our volunteers. Electric is provided but bring an extension cord, table, chairs and a canopy if you want. Any questions, please ask! We are excited for Saturday! Keep cool and hydrated! 😎

Vendors, feel free to bring fans or misters. Electric is available.

Helpful tip for your Chinese auction or 50/50 purchase. Save time, instead of writing your info on the tickets, bring address stickers or bring an address stamper.

Kids and those who want to cool off, there is a water bucket dump. Bring a change of clothes or a towel for your ride home.

Kendra update! 💗

She is doing great and ready for adoption! This 1yr old poodle is the best pup! 10lbs.
She came to us from a vets office when her leg had to be amputated when attacked by dogs.
Crate/leash trained and improving daily on housetraining. Enjoys being out with her foster mom, car rides, sitting in the sun, and playing with her toys.
Cat and dog friendly.

This little Chihuahua pup arrived today from a local vets office (not ours) because he has puppy strangles. Owner surrender.
10 week old, 2.6lbs

Say hello to Pedro. He currently doesn't feel that great but our wonderful vet team and his foster will have him feeling better in no time. Send him some love! 💗

Reminiscing today! Remember Bane? At 7 weeks of age he was surrendered due to Parvo. After weeks and weeks of hospitalization, he was finally released at about 2 1/2 months of age. He was so weak he couldn’t even walk. His foster momma worked with him doing physical therapy and a special diet. This video shows him learning to walk again. Current photos are in the comments.

Remember Boomer?? He arrived a year ago about 45-50 pounds overweight. He started on a slow weight loss program to avoid other issues that can accompany a rapid weight loss. Look in the comments to see a now and then side by side photo. He is getting close to his ideal weight. Go Boomer!!! (His momma is doing a great job helping him slim down appropriately)
