Another groom in the books for the wonderfully handsome Simon!
For those wondering because he does look like a “mini Aussie” Simon here is a mixture of breeds used to create that mini look and due to this his coat becomes extremely dense causing him to show symptoms of overheating and being extremely uncomfortable. Typically you wouldn’t shave a double coated breed however Simon’s coat is a little wonky due to his mix so he’s a special case. At the beginning of our grooming journey Simon was very unsure of things but with positive reinforcement and giving him breaks as he needs them, Simon has decided this whole grooming thing isn’t so terrible. 💙

As some of my previous training clients know I left Petsmart over a year ago now but my journey of working with animals hasn’t stopped! I’ve started to progress more in my grooming and have started to take on clients. I am self taught and originally started grooming for my parents elderly dogs who are special needs. However, I found a passion and have continued to groom for a few years now. I’ve done some simple bath, blow outs and nails to some crazy full makeovers with creative dye! Here are my personal pups and a few of my clients I’ve had so far.

Meet Maple, Gidget, Willow and Rosey! My super cute puppy graduates 🎓🎉 This group of pups all did so well in class! We started off day 1 with everyone barking and wanting to play and ended today with the pups focused on their parents and relaxed 🤩

Miko graduated beginner 🎓🎉 this boy and his mom deserve a HUGE round of applause as they practiced very hard and I was absolutely blown away 🤩🤩🤩

Ps, we will hopefully see Miko’s classmates soon! Life happens and between a family emergency, moving and covid our class dwindled down to one for graduation.

More puppy graduates! Meet Buddy, Emma and Terra 🎓🎉 this group came so far in just these 6 weeks. I can’t wait to see how much more they will grow.
Fun facts: Terra is a hunting dog prospect! Buddy is talkative and you wouldn’t believe Emma used to be shy (she initiated in play today!)

Meet my graduates of today, Oscar and Jericho! 🎉🎓
Fun facts:
Oscar can sit while you are standing, sitting or laying on the ground 🤩
Jericho is a European imported Doberman 😍 he will do a wait while you walk 6+ feet away and then call him to you!

These handsome fellas have 4 other classmates but with the weather these past 2 days some people had tree damage and other things to deal with so we will see the rest of class in another post 😁

This class hasn’t graduated yet but this picture shows heaps of progress already! When Emma and Buddy (along with terra not seen in picture) started week one, Emma hid in the corner and Buddy could hardly sit still with all of his excitement. I showed Buddy’s mom how to reward when he was calm and practiced treat, retreat with Emma. Now look at them today. I kept saying to myself “who are these dogs?” This brought such joy to both these pups moms and me! ❤️🥰

Meet Nala! She graduated today with flying colors 🎓🎉 such a smart and determined pup. When I say determined I mean it, she climbed into the training ring before I could open the door 😂
Nala is from Lucy and Binks class. She will join them again in intermediate class!

Intermediate Week 3: Heel!
This is Milo working on heel! His mom uses the “magnet hand” method with him as he loves doing hand target with her and eagerly follows her hand signals. Here he is showing off a turn and doing more distance with the distraction of me -the treat lady- at the end of the isle and kids screaming and running around the store in the background!

Meet todays puppy graduates Binks and Lucy! Binks is a lab, bully mix and Lucy is an Italian Cane Corso Mastiff 🤩 These 2 have some powerful energy but they are eager to learn! They will both be going into intermediate 🎉
