“Why are you the way you are?”- Me asking myself lol
Does anyone else read those comments? It depends but sometimes I get sucked into it. Sometimes, I make right decisions and don’t read it at all.
Because…we know, who is right 😏

Congratulations, we are not average person 😂
YOU TOO CAN DO THIS WITH YOUR DOG. If you ever thought “I wish my dog is like that”, there is a way to make nail trimming (and other body handling) experience better for both you and your dog.
I took this video to tell you to look up “Cooperative Care” if you never heard of it or practiced it before.
I learned this by viewing dog professionals’ videos. But of course, you can hire them to guide you if you are in a place to afford their service 🤍
If you know or are professionals who offer courses, please drop your recs/ your name in comment so they can find your guides and services 😊
My favorite accounts I reference about cooperative care:
@tailsofconnection
@zendog.fearlessgrooming
(And more, but I’ll share in story later!)
What do you struggle the most? Nail trim? Brushing? Wearing harness?

Instead of saying “No”, teach them what to do 🤝
For example, instead of telling NO to your dog doing counter-surfing, ask them to ‘down’(4paws on grand). Alternative ideas will be ‘Place’ ‘Sit’ cues if you teach any of those.
My dog Tony pulls when he sees his known friend/dog friend during walk. So I ask him to lay down to wait instead of me trying to hold him back :)
Have you repeatedly say “No” to your dog before?
I regrettably admit, I sure did 🤦🏻♀️ and even now, when I ran into unexpected situation, my “noooo”
comes out lol

Of course you are 👀
I ran into a toddler version of this meme and I had to make one with doggo 😂
Does your dog takeover your bath time too🛁?
I had to wait 15min until Tony gets out 😂
But that’s not true.
Positive Reinforcement(R+) is adding something pleasant AFTER the behavior.
Repetitive practices offer associating behavior and its consequences.
We want our dogs to be happy and optimistic.
So we add something pleasant to our practices when we see ideal behaviors.
That way our dogs can learn:
Do this behavior = something fun (treat, toy, play etc.) happens 💡oh I’ll do it again!!
I see many people confuse positive reinforcement as bribery. For dog parents, understandable. But for whose who says “I’m a dog trainer”… please try to be informed little more.
“your dog won’t listen to you when treats are out” or just a use of the word “purely positive” (this doesn’t exist lol) to discredit R+ pros and guardians shows how misinformed you are.
The more you know, we could serve better for our dogs and their people 🤍
Let’s stop labeling, and start listening what they are actually feeling 💭
Maybe your vocal dog isn’t feeling safe where they are at. Maybe that’s why their are acting or not acting certain way.

Tony and I are dead inside 💀
If you are like me and just smile and walk away type, but actually want to spread the fact, @woofcultr will be your best friend. I let my T-shirt talk instead.
My favorite talk for me designs are …
“Let them sniff”
“Train without Pain”
“Alpha theory is dead -y’all need science”
We have code: TONY15♥️
It’s dog mom math, Look it up.
How much did you save recently 😂?
