As of this week, the puppies have transitioned to a mushy, wet dog food diet. They are currently in the process of refining their motor skills, utilizing their paws to navigate their surroundings. Notably, their ears are now open, and we have initiated the sound socialization and desensitization process to acclimate them to various noises. Furthermore, the puppies have been relocated to a more spacious area, complete with a designated potty zone.
To reiterate, the puppy food is Orijen Large Puppy Amazing Grains. Please ensure that you purchase the correct bag, recognizable by its purple color, and verify that it is the Amazing Grains blend. This particular breed necessitates a diet rich in healthy grains, and even if you intend to supplement with raw food, it is crucial to provide Orijen or a premium kibble daily to meet their nutritional requirements.
For those interested in purchasing an Impact Crate, please note that I receive a breeder discount and can facilitate the order. However, please be aware that delivery may take up to a month. Alternatively, you may begin searching for crates, keeping in mind that an adult Cane Corso will require a 42-48in crate. Initially, a smaller crate is recommended for potty training purposes.
When selecting food and water bowls, please opt for porcelain or stainless steel to prevent facial acne caused by bacterial buildup. These materials can be easily sanitized in the dishwasher.
The puppies are scheduled to be released between June 7-14. Following their ear cropping procedure and final veterinary check-ups, each family will be required to schedule a one-on-one appointment with me for pickup. During this appointment, we will review the go-home folder, health records, and provide guidance on ear care.
While pickup appointments are not being scheduled at this time, please begin making necessary arrangements for time off during the specified dates.
For our Canadian and Caribbean families arranging transportation for their puppies, please provide the travel agency name or airline information to ensure accurate documentation. Similarly, out-of-state families who will be driving or flying in should provide airline information by the end of May.
We are thoroughly enjoying the experience of raising these puppies, finding them to be delightful companions. As we navigate the challenges of the second month, we will maintain open communication with regular updates.
Please note that temperament testing, evaluation, and matching will occur in early June. As a reminder, puppy placement prioritizes quality, health, and temperament above all else.
At this time, we are no longer accepting new color preferences or requests, as color cannot be never guaranteed, or a litter transfer may be an option.
Currently, most of the puppies have been sold, and we are seeking a suitable home for a couple of Envy's daughters.
