Hello friends. I wanted to let everyone know that I will be seeing appointments all day Monday and Tuesday, as well as Wednesday until noon. I will be out of the office for the rest of the week. The office is open for boarding, daycare, baths and to pick up pet food/medications. My husband is having surgery in Shreveport on Thursday, January 9th. As always, prayers are appreciated.

Just a reminder to all of our wonderful clients...This is a short week for us with both my husband's surgery on Tuesday, and the holidays. I will be seeing appointments on Monday only. Tuesday we will close at 4 instead of 6pm. Wednesday we will close at noon so our amazing staff can prepare for Thanksgiving. Be sure to check your veterinary supplies and be sure to stock up on what you need. We will not be able to fill your orders while we are closed. Thank you in advance for your patience. I hope everyone can enjoy these holidays with those who are special to them. Best wishes and happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Hello friends! We just got notified that Gary is scheduled for his next surgery on November 26. I will not be available for appointments on the 26th or the rest of that week. The office will be open for daycare, boarding, and food/medication pick up on Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26. We will be open until noon on Wednesday, November 27. We will be closed for business the rest of Thanksgiving week. Please check your food and medicine supplies before then and let us know if you need refills. Also, we still appreciate prayers for Gary. We will be in the hospital for a few days after his surgery. Thanks in advance for your prayers and patience during this stressful time. I hope you can all enjoy Thanksgiving with the ones you love.

UPDATE: We are finally home!! Thank you all for the continued prayers. Now we can resume our "new normal" life.

Hello friends. I'd like to ask for prayers for my best friend, Gary Shuford , who is currently in the hospital. He has been through so much recently, and he just needs to catch a break. We would also appreciate patience and understanding while I try to balance my time between my husband and my hospital. These are the loves of my life.

Edit: Gary's surgery went very well. We just got home. Thank you for the prayers! We will keep you posted as he progresses.

We wanted to keep our clients posted regarding our upcoming schedule. We will maintain our normal business hours this week, but we will not be seeing appointments on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday. Gary Shuford will be having surgery in Shreveport on Wednesday, so we will be focused on his health and recovery. Please keep him in your prayers. We will be back to work on Thursday. Thank you for your understanding.

With Francine headed our way we wanted to keep everyone updated. St. Francis Animal Medical Center, LLC will be closed Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday, September 12. Please be safe and keep your pets safe as well. Check on your neighbors if they are elderly or alone. Prayers for safety for us all.

What's cooler than a splash pool during puppy daycare? Not much! 😂 Our puppers are the COOLEST! They take their playtime seriously. Check out our awesome facility if you're interested in boarding and daycare. Peep our state-of-the-art hospital as well! We love what we do!!

Help!! I was abandoned by my people. A sweet lady scooped me up to keep me safe, but she couldn't keep me. Now I'm living at the St. Francis Animal Medical Center, LLC waiting for my forever home. Sweet Luna is desperately looking for her forever home. She was found on the side of the road about 5 months ago and brought to our clinic. She was malnourished and scared. She is healthier and happier now but really needs a family of her own. You can message me or call St. Francis Animal Medical Center (225)245-5032 🙏
Luna will be at the Tractor Supply adoption event later today (Saturday) from 10-2. Please come meet this sweet girl if you have room in your home and your heart for this amazing girl!

On Wednesday, Jan 31, Dr. Doskey will be out of the office for the day. Her husband is having another surgery, and she will be by his side to support him. The office is open for daycare, boarding, scheduling appointments, and all other non-doctor things. The doctor will be back in the office on Thursday for regular appointments and business as usual. Thanks for your prayers, your understanding, and your support. We continue to need all of the above! 💜💜

ATTENTION: St. Francis Animal Medical Center will be closed tomorrow, January 16th, due to forcasted sleet and freezing roads. While we won't have a beautiful snowscape like these, we can always hope and dream. 😁 We will resume normal hours on Wednesday, January 17th. Please be safe and stay warm. Remember to protect pets, pipes and look out for elderly neighbors who may need assistance. 💜💜
