It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our incredible Practice Manager and Lead Technician for the last 5+ years, Melanie. As many of you may know, aside from her full time job in clinic, Melanie also ran a small animal rescue that saved over 700 lives. Unfortunately with her leaving, so does her rescue work. We wish her all the best on her future endeavors, wherever she goes will be very lucky to have her!

As a reminder, we do not allow meet and greets without an approved application and scheduled appointment. You cannot just stop by and expect to meet our adoptable dogs. This is simply to protect thier emotions and manage our time the best we can.

Additionally, please read the general requirements at the top of the application prior to applying. Specifically regarding current pets - they MUST all be spayed or neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. This is not negotiable.

Stitch came to us over a month ago with a handful of medical issues that his owners could not afford to treat. After thousands of dollars in medications, special diets, and surgeries - Stitch is doing wonderfully. PLEASE read the entire post before applying, we need to ensure the best home financially and physically.

Stitch has a very sensitive stomach and gets extremely car sick. He is not looking to travel the country or go on frequent road trips. We have found a sensitive diet and maze bowl that he does best with - this food is approximately $55 per month. Stitch also has deep skin folds, this requires daily wipes and cleaning so they do not become infected. Stitch did have stenotic nares but had surgery and is fully healed. Stitch also had a severely untreated ear infection, so he now has a crinkly (scarred) ear - but no more ear infection! Many of his issues could have been avoided with simple breed knowledge. He blossomed beautifully with his frenchie-skilled foster home.

Stitch is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is kennel trained and mostly potty trained. He just turned one year old in December so he is still a very active puppy! He loves everyone and knows no strangers. He is dog, cat, and kid friendly.

All veterinary hospitals are not created equal!

Accreditation is required for human hospitals but voluntary for animal hospitals. Only about 15% of animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada are accredited by AAHA, and we’re proud to say that we’re one of them!

AAHA is the only organization to accredit companion animal veterinary hospitals. To become AAHA accredited, practices undergo regular, comprehensive onsite evaluations by AAHA veterinary experts who evaluate each practice on more than 900 standards of veterinary care.
