Tough Ruff Dog Training NEW Dog Training Business! BEGINNER TRAINER! Now helping the Summerville and surrounding areas!

Hey y’all! 🐶✨

Here is a quick and easy video explaining the “heel” command and showing our progress with sweet-but-rambunctious Koda!

Here’s some information on Koda.

He is a three year old Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix. Both breeds are extremely high energy and constantly need a way to outsource that energy. He is in training to learn how to control some of the energy in order for his owners to be able to take him on walks without having to worry about him pulling them down.

He loves to pull on the leash at cars and trucks going by. Before I began working with him, he continuously pulled his owner’s mother down as he lunged at cars and cats. We hace slowly worked on socializing him with cats and cars and, although he does get fixated, he no longer lunges towards either of his previous triggers (at least not as much. We are still continuing to work on that!)

Without further ado, here is a video of Nova Ardis training Koda to heel!

Hey y’all! 🐶✨

You know what’s so great about Tough Ruff Dog Training?? We have FREE consultations (as long as you are 50 miles from St. George SC, otherwise there will be a small fee for gas) before we begin our training! We don’t want you to have to spend ANY money for us to come out and see if our training is the best fit for your furry family member.

So you must be wondering, how exactly does this work? Well, as this is a beginning business we don’t have a physical address YET. Due to this, I will be training your dog at your home or at a nearby park if preferred. At Tough Ruff Dog Training, we try to make it as easy as possible for our clients to get the training they need!

So what exactly does Tough Ruff Dog Training teach your dog? Below are some examples from our basic obedience package!

- Heel (walks by your side, never pulling)
- Sit (Self explanatory of course)
- Down (Lay down)
- Stay (stay in one spot)
- Come (The recall - the dog will come back to you)
- Spot (The dog will stay in one spot until told otherwise)
- Okay (the release command - If your dog is heeling with you to a potty area, give the okay command for them to be released from one of the above commands)
- Entry-exit Protocols (The dog will sit before and after walking through a door. This is in case you have to lock the door or greet someone at the door. The dog will not leave your side)

Thank y’all so much for your time in reading this and we CAN’T WAIT to help train your dog.
