Only took 3 swim lessons and Blu and Star swim like pros. Blu just jumps in and swims around , doesn’t need a toy to chase, just loves to swim. He will frequently swim to a wall and push off to head back. Star is all about fetching, on land and now in water.

Had my daughter and her 3 boys visit. The 4 year old had a blast with Kylie in the pool.

After the agility trial went on to Death Valley National Park. I think I was 5 the last time I was there. Cold and windy, but better than 120.
Blu got up close and person with his first cow. He got mad when it did not move.😂

Rv trip to Boulder City Nevada, NADAC trial. Mikka finished a few titles, but of course the one run my husband did a video, she performed the worst. 😆

Donny’s turn to have an injury .😟
I was told long ago when an agility instructor was working with me and my first Cattledog, Austlyn’s Wiz Kid (Kody), that he thought ACDs needed full body armor to protect themselves. I do think there is some truth in that.

Gary and I took a ski vacation, stayed at an Airbnb so we could bring Star. Left the other 3 with a Housesitter. Star got special one on one time, and I got a taste of how easy life is when you only have one dog. 😂

AKC agility trial in Boulder City , Nevada, Mikka earn her last leg in Open JWW with a first place moving up to Excellent and earned her first leg in Excellent Standard navigating the course flawlessly earning First place.
I have to give a shout out to Blu and Star who were very well behaved at the show and did very well in the hotel.

Star fractured her shoulder , no idea how. She started limping which did not get better with rest, (as much as you can rest an active puppy) so took her in to the vet. A week later had surgery needing screws to hold it into place. We are now almost 2 weeks after surgery. Blu and her have no idea why we are being so cruel and not letting them play together. They occasionally start a game through the fence until I have to stop it because it gets Star too wild. Have to keep her on Trazodone to help keep her a little calmer. Bought a doggie stroller so she can be included in walks.
We are working on the dumbbell and glove take and hold and some beginning scent work to help keep her mind occupied. I think she is handling it better than I am.

Took several days but finally got both puppies comfortable riding up and down the escalator.

Took some work but got the puppies comfortable playing with my brother’s dog Patches. First dog they have actually played with besides their own pack. This is when I wish I still had my training facility in Seattle where I had the day training and Sunday puppy social hour.
