This has oddly become one of my favorite photos!

To everyone else this will just be a picture of my wife and I in an empty single bay garage. But, here’s some backstory as to why I love this photo so much…

In 2015 I moved my entire childhood reptile collection and barely a business (at that point) into this single bay garage at my parents house, as I still lived with them. The first year I barely filled one wall in this room with animals, barely taking up two racks.

From 2016-2022, the small business that I had started in a garage had grown so much I completely ran out of room and had to downsize several times lol. During those years I vended my first reptile expos, met amazing people that have now become lifelong friends and sent babies I hatched out in this room to countries all over the world. Things I could’ve never done without the help of the amazing friends I’ve met along the way that have guided me and provided so many connections.

During those years I have also been fortunate enough to find someone that has supported me in this wild ride and loves these animals as much, if not more than I do! During part of 2019 and all of 2020 my girlfriend, now wife, Jess, helped keep this dream alive. She kept our collection and our dream alive by doing all daily care and breeding operations while I recovered from shoulder and brain surgery. She also recruited and trained other friends and interns when extra help was needed. She is the epitome of someone who is selfless and loves to see those around her succeed. I couldn’t have done this without you❤️

2 years later, our small business provided us with the means for us to get our first home. In 2023 we finally moved everything over to our new reptile room and cleaned this room one last time💙🥲 Had to get one last picture for the memories!

Here’s to You and I, our future and making our dream of Cold Blooded Science a reality🙌
