*****REMINDER******

We just want to remind you that we are still accepting entries for our first ever summer Upland Test. There will be a chance to get points in 4 different tests over two days. Scenario will start at 7:30 in the morning on Saturday July 27th. The Second Scenario will start right around 11:00 am on Saturday. The same times will go for Sunday July 28th. Remember we are limited to 12 dogs for these events. We only have two spots available in each test on Saturday and 3 spots available on each test on Sunday. If you are interested in entering please hit up www.huntsecretary.com

In addition to the Upland test, we will also be running a Training day on Saturday July 27th at the West Side Dog training area. Set up will begin at 8:00am. Please if you are attending we ask that you volunteer to make the day go a little better and faster for everyone. We ask that you RSVP so we can make sure to have enough training birds.

Also a reminder that Newaukum Club will be hosting a 2 day test on July 13th and 14th and then an upland on Monday July 15th. They are still accepting entries on Hunt secretary also.

Wanted to remind everyone that we will have a training day on Sunday the 9th at 9am. As our hunt test is just around the corner if asked we will make your runs more like a hunt test and provide feedback. Some reminders:

Bring a duck call, you have to use one to start a hunt test.

There is no food/water in the test area so please bring enough for you and your dogs.

There is limited shade in the training area please take that into account.

The temperature is forecasted to near 80 degrees.

This is a volunteer event, so the more help we have the better it is for everyone.

Lastly have fun, this is time spent with your dog and friends, looking forward to seeing you all there!!

Good Afternoon,

Our hunt test is just right around the corner, and we are so looking forward to everyone attending and have a great experience.

We do have a couple places for people to volunteer to help, which would be greatly appreciated.

We are still looking for volunteers to help at the test in the following areas:

Set up dogs for Friday set up usually starts around 11:00-1:00pm

Good morning everyone,

We have to switch the June 8th training day to June 9th. One of our lifetime club members, Pete Markantes, passed away. His memorial service is on the 8th and to allow our club members to attend we are switching the training.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope everyone understands.

Its that time of year again, to start getting ready for Hunt test. We are pleased to announce the following training days. These training events are for those just starting into the world of Hunt test up to Pros.

April 20th, 2024 on the Westside of Sauvie Island in the training area, start time 9am.

June 8th, 2024 on the Westside of Sauvie Island in the training area start time 9am.

July 27th, 2024 on the Westside of Sauvie Island in the training area, start time 9am.

We will have different setups for Started, Seasoned and Finished dogs. Please remember that we are all volunteers at these events. We will be looking for help in setting up and breaking down the equipment. We will also be looking for help at each of the areas, this would be a great time to share some of the knowledge you have with your fellow handlers.

The cost is $15 dollars for Members for first dog, and $10 per additional dog(s), $25 per dog for non-members. Please pack a lunch for yourself and your dogs, along with ample fresh water.

Also please remember that you will need a wildlife area parking permit, that can be purchased online from ODFW.

Hey guys we wanted to touch base about our April 22nd Picnic Trial. Details Below
Time: 9:00 am Start Time
Location:West Side training Ground Sauvie Island by the S***t Range
Cost $15 for Members first dog
$10 For Member Second Dog
Non Member is $25 per dog
All Equipment will be there to be used. We ask that people remember that this is a volunteer event. The more volunteers we have to run the event the better, faster and more dogs we can run. Hope to see you all there

As you are all aware we are running our 4-Day hunt test again this year. Test dates are June 22-25th. We are looking for volunteers for these dates to help out. Help in the following locations is still needed

Test Dogs: we are in need of dogs for Seasoned for all four days and we are in need of Finished for all four days.

Marshalls: We need marshalls for all the stakes for all four days. If you can help please email me to let me know at [email protected]

Banquete: We are looking for someone to head up the organization of the banquete on Saturday night. If you can help please reach out.

Auction: As always we are looking for items for the silent and live auction. Also if there is anyone out there that is willing to organize this event we would greatly appreciate that.
