Good morning from the Nest! We are offering fresh cut lavender jars and bundles locally grown by our flower friend Wayne Davis at Davis Farms 123. It smells AMAZING!
Fresh Lavender will last approximately 7 days in water. It helps to trim the ends and change the water daily. After its vase life it can be hung for other use. Get your calm on, stop by and see Farm Truck Sonny!

Shout out to my husband Tommy P and his brother Kyle for making the Flower Fort ready for our first group of bouquet subscribers (group 1) today. The shingles are in progress along with the Feng shui! The majority of it is all recycled materials. I am beyond grateful for this separate pickup area for our bouquet subscribers. Also we can’t help but stop and stare at what’s left from cutting in our peony patch. She is in all her glory right now! We want to thank everyone who continues to support our little urban farm. We appreciate you all.

Happy Sunday from the Nest! Last night was the start of our sunflower field. We planted a little over 2000 seeds all by hand with about 5000 more to go! We’ve tried using a seeder but we have sooooo many rocks it’s just not as effective as doing it by hand. While dropping the seeds in the ground, I couldn’t help but to feel the energy of our land, and thought about all the hands that have worked this soil before us. Our property was a farm many years ago and we often find hand forge barn nails. Always exciting to find these treasures. We are so grateful to be turning this land back into a farm.

Good Morning from the Nest! Incredibly thankful to be creating this life with you Thomas Pavia. June 5th and we picked the first bucket of sunnies and I cried! We put so much love and energy into everything we do here at the Nest and our clients yards to bring joy. One of our sayings here is…..I focus on effort, and never the outcome. We try and sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail but we always do our best. We are thankful and it doesn’t seem real that we get to be together every day! Truly BLESSED!

The bees are LOVING the warm weather! This past season we lost our hives. They almost made it thru but moisture killed them off in the spring. We are hoping for a good harvest in the 2024 season. If you were on our 2023 list we still have you down for 2024. It takes about 6 weeks for one honey bee to make 1 1/2 teaspoons of honey.
