📣ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Below are a few updates/policy changes that are non negotiable.

1)If you decide to take your dog to another boarding/daycare facility, your dog cannot come to the farm for 14 days. Some of you may not know this, but I live here with my 4 dogs. If one of them gets sick, I have to shut down. I know things happen, but as a small business owner that lives in her business, I have to put this policy in place. I simply cannot close every time a dog gets sick, so to prevent this as much as humanly possible, the 14 day policy is here and non negotiable.

2)If your dog is showing any symptoms of being sick including but not limited to coughing, nasal discharge, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea etc., do NOT bring them here. We will reshedule any missed days! Dogs pass crud just like humans do.

3)This one is not new, but just a friendly reminder. ALL dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella and have a negative f***l test. I must see a copy from a licensed veterinarian.

Hello farm friends!

Due to the rise in canine/kennel cough cases, I will be closing the farm for daily training, meet and greets and private lessons from Monday 8/19-Sunday 8/25. I have been going back and forth on this decision all weekend as the safety and care of all dogs is my top priority. Please know that you will NOT lose any days on your training pass. I will also be reaching out this week to reschedule all appointments so please be patient with me as I navigate where to put you all. IF your dog starts coughing or showing any symptoms, please text or email me so I can document and reschedule appointments as needed. Your dog will also need to stay home for 14 days. I know this may not be your vet’s policy, but it is mine and it’s non-negotiable. The goal is to get this virus out of here with a combination of deep cleaning, airing out the indoor space and not having dogs that could be carrying the virus but not showing symptoms coming and going each day.

FYI it is NOT a good idea to go to another facility any time your dog is exposed to something. This only spreads the crud and in turn can cause a temporary shutdown which can have a huge impact on any business.

Good morning farm friends!

It has been brought to my attention this morning that one of the farm pups who was here on 8/6 and 8/8 is showing signs of K9/Kennel cough. This pup was boarded at another facility prior to being here where she was most likely exposed to it. Knock on wood, I’ve had no others reported and my 4 personal dogs are not showing symptoms. The intention of this post is NOT to place blame, but to simply educate. This virus is airborne and there are many different strains much like the flu in humans. Even if your dog gets the Bordetella vaccine, it does NOT mean they won’t get the cough. Once again, it is an airborne virus and highly contagious. Now that being said, a dog can also have the virus and be contagious but not show any symptoms. That is where is gets tricky. How do pet owners and facility owners know? It’s simple, we don’t. We can clean all day, everyday and still get the virus. I also keep the farm as clean and tidy as I possibly can, so fingers crossed. My main point is that no one is to blame here. Sending your dog to ANY place where there are other dogs is a risk, just like you risk your child picking up germs/viruses when sending them to daycare and school. The best way to help prevent the spread of this virus is to NOT send your pup here if they are showing any symptoms. My policy is if any dog is showing symptoms, they must stay home for 2 weeks. Please see pictures below and feel free to text/email with any questions. FYI please be patient if I am tardy responding to messages as I will be deep cleaning all day.

Welcome to the farm Shenzi! This little gal and her owners started private lessons and she’s doing fantastic so far! We started with some confidence building exercises/desensitizing as she was hesitant to be touched/petted. Her owners did their homework so we moved forward with her obedience commands along with not jumping and nipping her brother Blaze and her mom this week. So far, so good! Love this little cutie already! Those ears though 🥹🫶🏻🐶

Welcome to the farm Maverick! This large, fluffy pup is here for obedience and socialization. His owners would like him to be a well behaved boy before he gets huge! Maverick is a super sweet guy and the farm kids love him already!
