The dog's are kept in a 4' x 6' indor doggy condo with a 4' x 10' doggy patio outside. The dogs are able to go outside whenever they please unless during extreme weather or below 55 degrees in the winter. A condo with one dog is $17.00 per night, if two dogs share a condo it is $16.00 per dog a night and if three dogs or more will be $15.00 per dog a night. One cat per night would be $11.00, two c
ats would be $10.00 per cat a night, three or more cats will be $9.00 per cat a night. Over the years we have been asked many of the same questions about our boarding! So we decided to post some of our "frequently asked questions" along with our input! If you are planning on boarding with us, please take a look:
Q: If I check my pet in towards the end of the day, will I still pay for a full day of boarding? Checking in right when we open is the same price as checking in right when we close. Q: Do I pay for a full day of boarding on checkout day? A: If you checkout before noon you will not pay for that day, if you checkout in the afternoon you will pay for a full day of boarding. This means that 12:01 p.m. is considered an afternoon pickup. Our computer automatically charges after 12:00 p.m. The ONLY exception to this is that we have a 2 day minimum charge where the lowest you will pay is for 2 days. Check out time frames will not matter if you are only staying for 2 days. Q: How are their pens set up? Where do they stay? A: Our inside portion of their pet condo is 4’ x 6’ with concrete walls and flooring. We leave the pets doggie door open (if 55 degrees and above) where they can go outside to their 4’ x 10’ concrete patio with chain link walls with a gate and roof. If the temperature is under 55 degrees we will let your pet out frequently. Q: Will my pet get any exercise during their stay? A: We offer many extra services and one of them is called a doggie recess. We will walk your pet(s) outside for 15 minutes on a leash in our fenced in backyard. One dog is 5.00$ and 2 or more pets being walked during the same recess are 4.00$ each. Besides the recess we also offer an assortment of treats your pet can have during their stay. You can ask us about these at check in. Q: What items do I need to bring with my pet to be boarded? A: You can bring in your own blanket or bed (NO bean bag chairs), toys, treats, food, etc., any item that makes your pet feel more comfortable. We ask that you put food in a closed, plastic container (tupper ware, plastic bin, etc.) and NOT in a Ziploc bag or plastic bag where the food is out in the open. We also ask that you do not bring your own bowls unless your pet ABSOLUTELY has to have them (our bowls are stainless steel and look similar to many of the pet’s own bowls and it can be confusing). We will put down a blanket or rug for your pet if you do not want to bring any and we will also provide food for them as well (we use a generic version of Purina). We will provide these at no extra cost. Q: What shots are required to board my dog? A: We require the expiration dates of the rabies and distemper shot record. Bordatella is OPTIONAL. You can bring in vet paper work upon check in or have your vet call us and we will take it through the phone or email us with your pets’ shot records. Q: My pet has never been boarded before, will they be okay? A: Animals all deal with stress in different ways, just like humans do. If we notice your pet is not going to the bathroom we will walk them outside in the grass until they go. If we notice your pet is not eating we will mix in wet dog food, hot dog pieces, etc. to try and get them to eat. If we ever have any doubt that your pet is not coping well with the stress and is in danger of any sort by how they are coping we will call the owner or emergency contact ASAP. However, majority of pets will adapt. Q: Will my dog still go to the bathroom even if the flooring is concrete and not grass? A: Almost all dogs will go to the bathroom even with the difference of using concrete vs. However, if we notice your pet is not adapting, we will walk them out in the grass. Q: Do you board cats, ferrets, rabbits, birds, etc.? We have smaller condos (4’ x 3’ x 1 1/2 “) that they can stay in. Birds are an exception, they will be kept in their bird cage. Cats and dogs cannot stay together even if they are from the same owner. Q: My pet escapes from cages at home no matter what I put on the cage to keep them in, can I still board them? Let us know ahead of time and we will provide a pen that the pet cannot escape from even if they climb/ jump. Q: What if I need to cancel my reservation? A: Call us to cancel all reservations or to make any changes. There are no cancellation fees. Q: What if I need to extend my stay? A: We are very flexible to client’s schedules and realize plans change. If you need to extend your stay, no worries! Just call us and let us know and you will pay for the extended days upon pick up. Q: Can my pet be groomed during their stay? However, our grooming books up fast. If you want to ensure that you get a grooming appointment, you might call as early as one month in advance to book your reservation. Q: How early should I book my boarding reservation? A: We typically would like a 2 day notice before your stay. However, if an emergency comes up, please feel free to contact us to book your reservation the day of.
