This little Italian greyhound puppy made us all smile today. His name is “Hero” and he was so excited to show off his new tricks!

So we have made it through a couple of nights of fireworks- we have a few more nights to get through if your pet has a firework/noise phobia. We are open today if your pet needs anxiety meds- call us asap! Here is a picture of Dr. Preston’s dog Lexie, she gets medication plus we close all the curtains, turn on the tv and hunker down early. She considers it a win if Lexie stays on the bed and doesn’t go hide under it. Dr Michels puts her dogs in an interior room with a white noise machine and a fan. Happy Sunday! It was a little nicer out today, which means more dog walking time! Sometimes our doctors do things a little differently. Dr. Preston showed you a video of her adorable puppy, Lexi, using a gentle leader. This walking equipment works great for her! Dr. Dines shows her dog in a freedom harness. The harness helps her have better control and E.O. is working on checking in with her to keep a looser leash. She also shows her favorite command of "touch", which keeps her reactive dog engaged with her and ignoring other stimulus around him. Behavioral wellness is core part of our practice, so we love sharing some of the personal trainings we do with our pets with you!
