My name is Amanda Anderson and I have a 12 year old Chihuahua mix named Leelu. We’ve been a part of the Saint Joseph community since April of 2015. I became a professional dog groomer after I received my CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant) certificate from Franklin Technology Center . I graduated a week after the devastating tornado hit Joplin on May 21, 2011. I spent the following month at the a

nimal shelter volunteering with the ASPCA and veterinary staff in treating injured animals and rehoming over 1200 displaced pets. After that I went to work at PetSmart in the salon and fell in LOVE with it. I attended their Grooming Academy and have been in the industry for 10 years now! I’m very passionate about providing the best quality care for pets and believe the grooming experience should be KIND and GENTLE. I treat each dog as if they were my own. I look forward to serving your furry family members. A CLEAN DOG IS A HAPPY DOG!

🌈Friday night I had to say goodbye to my precious baby girl. She was the love of my life and took care of me for over 14 years. Words can't describe how grateful I am to have had her in my life and how devastated I am that she's not here anymore. She loved going for car rides and hanging out downtown at the coffee shop. Coming to work without her is going to be very difficult for a while so thank you all for your kindness.❣

For many pets, fireworks are terrifying and for good reason! They’re loud and unpredictable. While us humans are having a great time celebrating, our pets only hear explosions and feel scary vibrations. It makes perfect sense that their fight or flight instinct would kick in. I'm so grateful to have this big open window next to my table. Half the power is out in the shop because a transformer across the street blew. Luckily it only affected the lights and the outlets and I was able to attach everything plus my internet to an extension cord from the other side of the shop. So bear with me because everyone is getting groomed in the dark! 😎😬🤣
