Stain resistant canvas dog collars, Waterproof Biothane collars and cotton fabric dog collars, leads Flash forward a few years and Four Black Paws is born.

My passion for everything dogs started in 2007 with the arrival of Leila, my first dog. She was, and still is, my everything and is the reason behind Four Black Paws. Being in college at the time, I wanted to make Leila look "girly" but couldn't afford the price tag on many of the flashy, commercially made collars at the time. In 2010, after 3 years of trying to find the perfect collar, I decided

to start making Leila the girly collars I was so desperate to find. When friends and family got wind of what I was doing, they were in high demand. In early 2011, I began offering my designs to the world. They can now be found online and at a variety of boutiques across the United States. We do wholesale orders! Please contact us for details. IMPORTANT SUBSCRIPTION ANNOUNCEMENT!

Life with a newborn has definitely been an adjustment (we are loving every minute) 💙 With that being said…
If you have a current subscription, I’ll be pausing them all for the May 1 renewal. This will give me a bit more time to get the future T-shirts and boxes planned while caring for our sweet baby.

No worries! Subscriptions will be back June 1 for current subscribers AND anyone else who would like to join the club!

In case you missed the news last week: I’ve been keeping a secret!
Thea and the boys are gaining a baby brother in March!

So what does that mean for Four Black Paws?
•As of Wednesday February 14, I’ll be removing all of the custom made collar and leash listings from the shop (orders through Wednesday 2/14 will still ship in the 2-3 week timeline). I was hoping to stay open a bit longer but the 3rd trimester has been kicking my b***y, especially working 2 full time jobs (teaching and 4BP).
•The t-shirt subscription and You + Dog Box Subscription will still keep going!
•You’ll still be able to purchase apparel and ready to ship items from the site.

I don’t yet know what reopening custom collars and leashes will look like as I want to be sure to soak up all of the newborn snuggles when the time comes very very soon ❤️
