I didn’t seem to have a picture of the poppy field so, I assumed I had not posted it either. This hangs on my bedroom wall where it gives mea bit of a positive boost in the morning.

Finally coming out of a creative slump I think. Working on a “cartoon” series”. Have been doing lots of quick sketches bit not very much into larger paintings right now. I don’t have a market so if anyone reading this would like to have something done, let me know.

The Peasant Pantry near the corner of Red Arrow and Sawyer Rd. Will be featuring msome of my art along with Julie Bender and Jan Anderson’s this month. We will also all have some cards for sale while there. I will do my usual “urban style” quick sketches while there for about two hours between 11:00 and 1:00, these will be gifts to you from me ( as they have always been) and from the Peasant’s Pantry. So enjoy the great food and you may be given an extra little something.

Been experimenting with black and white in various media.
Still like sharpies best.

It has certainly been awhile since I pisted anything new and that is mostly because I really have not been healthy enough to paint much. Long story for another time, but I believe there are a few I have not posted.
By the way, if I post it here it is for sale., personal ones I might post on my regular FB page.

Deb, co-owner with her hubby of LYDIA’S restaurant in Bridgman has kindly allowed me to display and sell my cards. I have been having to make more, I didn’t realize I was almost out of them. Here are a few I did recently.

One of only about three attempts at pastels. 33years of writing on a chalkboard made it a bit difficult to enjoy chalk! This is a view from my desk in the studio. That is what you do when you want to do art but absolutely nothing comes to mind.this is a small picture 8x8” unmatted and unframed. $25

A few of the quick sketches and quick watercolors on a recent trip by train to Washington and Oregon then on the American Empress paddlewheeler up the Columbia and Snake rivers. Doing a watercolor without pencil sketching on a fast moving train is just a bit challenging ( just a wee bit) but a great way to get people to talk to you.

I will add a few more next week hopefully with at least one finished piece done from a sketch or photo on the trip.

Had a wonderful painting session yesterday on the beach with fellow artists Julie Bender, and her artist friends Heidi, Paul and Judd. It was a perfect day for painting ( or anything else). So, here are the results. ( I am the midget).

I will have some of my work at Mediator Church in Harbert, MI at their “French Market” on Saturday the 21st of July from 9:00am until 3:00 pm. I will have an inside booth so look for me there. Pictures, drawings, notecards and maybe a new product if I can get it started. By the way, the bake sale here is absolutely fantastic.
