➡️What made you start working with dogs?
I’ve always loved having pets around the house, so I knew I wanted to be in a field where I got to experience that daily.

➡️What’s your favorite breed?
Since my partner and I have labs currently and that was my family dog growing up, labs are definitely one of my favorite breeds. But I also have a soft spot for English Mastiffs.

➡️Fun fact?
A fun fact about me is I was born in Vermont! So even though the midwest has been home most of my life, I still claim some New England heritage haha!

➡️What do you enjoy in your free time?
In my free time I love hanging with my family and friends, snuggling our critters, running, going to various sporting events, and reading. I’m always open to new book recommendations!

We all can tell when our dog leaves extra fur on our clothes 😂 This means it’s time to give us a call!

Next visit, try our Deshed package which helps release that extra coat and you’ll leave the mess with us instead! ➡️Why did you start grooming?

I got a summer job after high school as a grooming assistant/bather at Petco and thought it would be a fun gig until I figured out what I wanted to do. To my surprise, I fell in love with the industry and decided to go to school to become a groomer and the rest is history. I left corporate, moved on to a small business and then finally got to open my own salon!!! My passion hasn’t left since day one and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

➡️What is your favorite breed to groom?

I’d say Poodles and all Terriers are my top pick. I love sculpting and scissor work which Poodles have amazing coats for. I love how silly they are as well. I can’t resist a terrier coat and pattern. I’d say it’s a tie between the two!

➡️Fun fact about you?

I’m Filipino! I have a large family in the United States and the Philippines!

➡️What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

In my free time you’ll catch me hiking, gardening, traveling, fishing, biking, painting, playing disc golf, kayaking, camping and of course spending time with all my pets and family/friends. Plus anything dog related count me in!

➡️Why did you start grooming?
I’ve always had a passion for animals, back in 2017 I took it upon myself to start grooming my exs Aussie since he wasn’t being properly taken care of. I loved making him feel better and decided to see if this was something I could make a career out of and it was! I have such a passion for this job and will be forever grateful I found this career.

➡️What is your favorite breed to groom?
Any and all terriers! I have always gravitated towards terrier breeds and own 2 Kerry Blues!

➡️Fun fact about you?
I own and show my 2 Kerry Blue Terriers, my male Relic won Best Puppy in Show his very first time in the ring! I am also an avid reader, I get through about 5-8 books/month.

➡️What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Any and all activities I can with my dogs, we do conformation, barn hunt, dock diving and obedience.

➡️I started grooming when I was 19 because I loved animals and thought it would be easy... (I was wrong in case you were wondering, grooming is extremely difficult!). I'm very proud of the skills I've cultivated over the last decade! I work hard to provide as safe, loving, and personalized grooming experience as possible!

➡️ I LOVE to dance dance dance!! By myself, out with friends, in classes, all of it! I also love spending time with my friends (especially a lunch date), reading, hiking, watching movies, fashion, my pets, and all things creepy.

➡️ I really love grooming almost all kinds of dogs, but terriers will always have a special place in my heart!

➡️ I have an e-bike instead of a car! I can also walk in 8 inch heels, and I'm excellent at applying false eyelashes. My dream is to dance on stage someday!

I always knew I wanted to work with animals since I was little. Dogs have always held a special place in my life. I love working with anxious pups to build a relationship and trust to help them through the grooming process safely.

I love to read a variety of books I enjoy going for walks with my daughter. I like to bake gluten free goodies. I enjoy playing a variety of video and board games.

I’ve always groomed my family dog (a yorkie mix) and thought it was so fun but never thought I could actually make money doing it! I went to get my bachelors at MSU Mankato and got a part time job at PetSmart as a bather. The rest is really history! Was a bather for 2 years as I finished college and became a groomer out of graduation.

Doodles!!! Especially the curly coated ones. I think they’re all the goofiest babies and all have the most unique personalities.

I’ve lived in 4 different states growing up! Im originally from Ohio and we just bounced around til we ended up in Minnesota.

➡️What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love reading (romantasy of course), crocheting (mainly little stuffed animals), and camping with my husband and dogs!!

➡️Why did you start grooming?

I accidentally got into grooming actually because I really needed a part time job! I was working at the humane society in town and knew I wanted to still work around animals with my part time job too. I basically begged for any open position at my local PetSmart. The only open position was a part time bather in the salon, and I happily took it not knowing anything about grooming. I started enjoying salon life, and quickly went to their academy program and started grooming!

➡️What is your favorite breed to groom?

Pitties / pittie mixes! And as far as haircuts, I really enjoy putting realistic pet trims on my clients, that way at home maintenance is more fun and a little easier for everyone and your pup can live their best doggy life!

➡️Fun fact about you?

I’ve been to 40 of the 50 US states and 2 other countries! I hope for lots more international travels in the years to come!

➡️What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I LOVE checking out new coffee shops, and getting iced coffees only of course, even when it’s below zero! I also enjoy anything outdoors like fishing, hiking, getting lost in nature, artsy things, spending time with my dogs and boyfriend, spontaneous day trips or traveling anywhere actually! I also love to lift weights, thrift store shop and try new ice cream places too!

I actually don't groom dogs! Well, depends. You can catch me doing baths or bath and tidy ups but none of that fancy scissor work that the others do! It's seriously art work on a moving canvas, so cool to see! Generally speaking though, I make sure the ship sails a smooth sea. I manage the salon! I came into grooming through Izza after 13 years in the dental field, covid put a big damper on that career. It's honestly a dream job!

➡️What is your favorite breed to groom?

I am personally obsessed with pitties, cavaliers and bernese mountain dogs!

➡️Fun fact about you?

I actually love doing fire performances. I can eat fire, spit fire, skin transfer and spin fire. Yes, I've lost chunks of hair and a few eyebrows in my 16+ years doing it lol.

➡️What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I've been a pretty big bookworm lately! My husband and I do a lot of fishing, both ice and open water. We camp and go hiking. I personally love live music and a good occasion to dress up!

➡️Why did you start grooming?

I have always had a passion for animals, but knew that the Veterinary industry was not for me. I admired the groomers at Petco when I would bring my cat in for a bath. Finally one day I asked how to get training and if they were hiring. I started right away and received my initial training through their in house program. 20 years later, I’m still seeking out education and learning new things all the time!

➡️What is your favorite breed to groom?

I would have to say that my favorite breed would be Poodles, specifically, Standard Poodles. However, I also LOVE working with senior dogs of any breed. They always feel so good after a bath and haircut, and it brings me a lot of joy to see them feeling their best!

➡️Fun fact about you?

I play Flute, Piano and Banjo. Also, ever since I was young, Horses have been my passion and sport of choice. I would compete in dressage, show jumping, and my personal favorite, cross country jumping.

➡️What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, you can find me on hiking trails or at the movie theater with my husband, Arturo. Or curled up with a good book alongside my cat Wendy (2 years old) and my dog Zoe (16 1/2 years old).

A love for dogs and being creative!
I started at a corporate salon but didn’t have training I was confident in, so I quit grooming for a few years. One day I saw the most gorgeously groomed Schnauzer outside of a McDonald’s and decided that I wanted to be able to do that, so I enrolled in grooming school at Rio Grooming school and haven’t looked back since!

➡️What's your favorite breed to groom?

Schnauzers! But I also love doing any breed standard, and anything that can be put in an Asian Fusion trim.

➡️Fun fact about you?

I’m a huge Swiftie and I show my Bichon, Ronnie!

Attending dog shows, training my dogs, reading, gaming, and dreaming about a life in Velaris. ✨

I started working with dogs at a daycare during college and quickly fell in love with grooming. Getting to give dogs a makeover before going home made me so happy I never looked back!

➡️What is your favorite breed to groom?

My favorite breed to groom is any large double coated dogs like Bernese Mountain dogs, Samoyeds, Retrievers.. you name it! Getting all the shedding coat out is the most satisfying part!

➡️Fun fact about you?

A fun fact about me is that I used to play the saxophone in a jazz band as a teenager

➡️What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy everything to do with the outdoors. Camping, kayaking, hiking and generally being in nature as much as I can

After graduating college with a degree in history, I decided to switch my path and pursue a career that would let me follow my passions in a more creative way. I was considering going to cosmetology school when I realized I could combine my interest in styling hair with my love for dogs! I enrolled at Rio Grooming School and never looked back!

➡️What’s your favorite breed/part of grooming?

Terriers are among my favorite breeds to groom! I love their sass and attitude, and find myself very drawn to their breed standard cuts. I also enjoy hand-stripping wire coats to maintain their natural texture and color! Not many salons offer hand-stripping services, so I'm honored to care for the wire haired dogs in our community!

➡️What is a fun fact about you?
Something you may not know about me is that I was a gymnast for 12 years and still love to do activities that let me flip around and be upside-down like aerial silks!

➡️What I like to do outside of work?

When I'm not grooming, you can find me hiking, rollerskating, working on a variety of crafts, or curled up reading books for hours on end!

I used to help my mom out by bathing and trimming the feet of her Shetland Sheepdog. Then one day it occurred to me that I could probably do that as a job, so I got on google & found out that Petsmart had a training program; I started as a bather the next week.

While I don't have a specific breed I like to groom the most, I really enjoy working with poodles and chihuahuas.

➡️Fun fact about you?

I'm a classically trained vocalist.

In my spare time I really enjoy dancing, the outdoors, yoga & spending time with my friends and family.
