This is Proxima! She's stunning right?! Proxima is approximately 2-3 years old. As you can see she is a gorgeous long hair orange GIRL! Proxy is a gentle soul. She gets along well with cats and dogs. She prefers to find a place to perch and watch the action. But when things settle she will sneak up for lovings. Don't get us wrong she's not shy, she's just not pushy. Proxima has an autoimmune condition called pillow foot (pododermatitis). This means that her immune system can flare up and attack itself (in this case her large pads on her front paws). She has been treated appropriately for this condition and has been monitored for several weeks after treatment. She appears to be in remission. Our vet has said that it is entirely possible this could be a lifetime remission. BUT as with any autoimmune condition there can be flares. Proxima will need to have her front paw pads checked often to make sure they're not flaring up. If there is a flare up there are plenty of available treatments. It is possible if she were to have a bad enough flare it could cause her to need medication for life. But all that being said right now Proxy is happy and healthy and waiting for her perfect forever home! If you have any questions about Proxima or her long term care please feel free to reach out! Starting this Saturday Proxy will be hanging out at Feeders looking for the perfect home!

First picture is Domino and Simba, (gray & white) - they are buddies.

Next is Lucy in the flowers - she is the only girl & she & Calvin are buddies as you see in the 3rd picture.

The 4th is a lovely portrait of Simba.
Domino took Simba under his wing when he was a kitten & they have a sweet bond. Domino is the only one I let outside. Simba was found starving, wet & full of fleas in a ditch in St Louis….he loves to see what you’re eating 😃.

Calvin (black) came from a feral colony behind the office. He comes to you when he wants loving & attention. He likes to drink water from my bathroom sink…. Lucy I adopted for Domino because my older cats wouldn’t play with him…they were buddies for awhile but now he likes to pick on her.

Lucy & Calvin get along really well.
I have one more male - orange & white- Georgie. He was a GAIN kitty trapped in Alma - he’s more a loner but gets up in my lap & sleeps with me at night.

If you are interested in any of these well cared for, well loved cats please PM us and I’ll put you in contact with the owner
