Are you looking for a sweet and affectionate boy to be your sidekick? Let me tell you all about Otis. He is so fun to work with, he LOVES training and any mental and physical exercise, and he loves cuddles and hugs from his favorite people. I think he’d be great for someone wanting to dabble in agility or barn hunt. He’s been here building confidence and obedience and he’s made so many strides. He needs to go to a home without kids and would do even better without cats. He’s warmed up to everyone at The City Canine so quickly and is just a pleasure to be around. Guess who crushed it at her Home Depot trip? She went inside and was able to walk past dogs, people and all of the loud noises. She climbed the scary yellow stairs and had employees clap for her. By the time we left she was pretty pleased with herself. Awesome, work Luna!

It’s cold out here, but we’re working through it. Luna used to lunge at cars and people and everything in between. We’re working on calm behavior and she’s learning that she doesn’t need to behave that way to keep those things away. Great work, sweet girl!

Structured walks with engagement are great for nervous dogs to burn both mental and physical energy. They are also important for desensitization to outside triggers.
Board and trains Otis and Luna went on snowy walks around snowblower distractions and then came inside to do some treadmill work and indoor training for that extra outlet. Great work, pups!

Otis gets a little more brave every day! When he first saw the treadmill (turned off) he would make wide circles to avoid it. I got him running over it and placing on it while it was off. Once it was turned on it was a completely different and scary picture. He started barking and biting at the treadmill belt. With some time and coaxing he is now able to walk on the treadmill with so much more ease. Way to work through it, bud!
