Thanksgiving is fast approaching! 🥧 Many Thanksgiving foods we enjoy can actually be harmful to pets, so keep a close eye on your furry friend when you're cooking and serving food so everyone has a safe holiday! 🐾

🚫 Toxic foods to AVOID feeding your pet:
• Dark, fatty, seasoned turkey
• Turkey skin & bones
• Raw dough
• Corn on the cob
• Desserts
• Grapes & raisins
• Chocolate
• Nuts
• Xylitol (Artificial Sweetener)
• Seasonings like garlic, onion, leeks, chives, nutmeg and cinnamon

Christmas shopping has started, and it seems to come earlier every year (maybe that's just us!). We’ve done half the work for you and picked out some places in town that you can shop with your furry friends. Pet stores being last on the list because after all that shopping, they’ll need a treat!

-Michaels / Hobby Lobby
-Tractor Supply / Walden
-Home Depot / Lowes
-Academy
-PetSmart / Pet Supplies Plus

Holiday gatherings are often filled with feasts and treats, but not all human foods are safe for pets. Many pre-prepared holiday dishes contain garlic and onion, and sweets can contain ingredients like grapes and raisins, chocolate, or xylitol, which are harmful to pets. Stick to simple, unprocessed foods and ensure friends and family know your pet’s dietary restrictions.

Speaking of food, remember that cats and dogs have sensitive digestive systems. Every holiday season, veterinarians see a spike in pancreatitis cases from pets eating table scraps, getting into the trash and munching on candy. Be especially watchful of sneaky snacking!
