A bit of history.. Do you know why black cats are associated with Halloween? 🎃
Black cats have long been linked to Halloween, a tradition rooted in history and folklore. The association dates back to the Middle Ages when black cats were often thought to be witches' familiars, helping witches in their magical practices. This belief stemmed from the idea that witches could transform into cats, particularly black ones, to carry out their mischief undetected.
As Halloween evolved from ancient harvest festivals to the spooky celebration we know today, black cats became symbols of mystery and the supernatural. They were often depicted as omens of bad luck, which only added to their eerie reputation. However, this portrayal is largely rooted in superstition rather than fact.
