Meet your new Vet!
Dr. Aher has taken over the reins at the St. Pete Beach Veterinary Clinic and has been lucky to meet many of her new furry patients already this year.
For those of you who haven't met Dr. Aher yet, here's her bio from the St Pete Beach Veterinary Clinics website. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Dr Amber Aher BVetMed
I’ve been working as a veterinarian in the Tampa Bay area for the past year after relocating with my husband for work. I grew up in Massachusetts and my interest in animals started with equestrian sports and working on a racehorse breeding farm.
I became qualified as a certified veterinary technician in 2004 and worked with small animals while completing my bachelor’s in animal science in 2006. Before attending vet school, I volunteered with wildlife organizations and worked as a zookeeper.
I traveled to the UK to attend veterinary school for four years at the Royal Veterinary College in London, graduating in 2014. The RVC is the oldest veterinary school in the English-speaking world and it has a strong reputation for research, progressive veterinary care, and a high regard for animal welfare. It was a perfect fit for me.
As a veterinarian, I have worked in general practice, emergency medicine, and low-cost clinics. I’ve also worked in private practices, both large and small, and for corporations.
My passion is helping pets live their best lives. Recently, I purchased the St Pete Beach Veterinary Clinic to continue its mission of providing excellent service.
