This Christmas, our other tech, Jordyn took home our clinic cat, Wiggles. We have one more clinic cat that we’d love to find a loving home for and that’s Jingles. We felt it was time to get our three clinic cats into loving homes at this stage of their lives. If you would like to meet Jingles please inquire within.

In Jordyn’s own words:

I couldn’t resist opening up my home to the dapper Mr.Wigglesworth!
I knew from the moment I gave him refuge from the hurricanes that he would end up having a special place in my heart. He is the biggest sweetheart and loves his daily belly rubs when I get home from work. He is a super chill dude and I’m beyond excited for him to pursue his retirement in my care.

A lot of you have met our clinic cat, Terry. He’s a loving cat who’s lived here quite a while and took a liking to our receptionist, Mikayla. The two quickly bonded and then Mikayla took him in when the storms approached. After Mikayla returned from some recent travel, she took Terry home permanently and they lived happily ever after…

This holiday season, I’m excited to share a special moment in my life — welcoming a senior cat into my home, Mr. Terrance! After working closely with this sweet feline, I couldn’t resist offering a safe, loving home for him to enjoy his golden years. I’ve already fallen in love with his gentle nature and unique personality. Christmas this year has a new meaning, as I’m reminded of giving. After all, he gives the best head bumps! 🐾🎄

Dear Clients,

It’s been 25 years this past June since St. Pete Beach Veterinary Clinic opened. Dr. Rose is making the difficult decision to retire at the end of the year.

He is aware of how much the community relies on their local, independent veterinary practice and has sold it to Dr. Amber Aher who will be taking over. She has filled in a few times this year for Dr. Rose and he has received positive feedback upon his return.

Dr. Aher has been practicing for 10 years and is excited to begin St. Pete Beach Veterinary Clinic’s new chapter with all of you.

Thank you all so much for your gracious support for the last 25 years!

We have power at the clinic! We will open at 8 tomorrow morning. We are not sure about the internet yet. Please be patient with us as we unravel all the things that have occurred with your pets since we’ve been away ie: prescription requests, emergency and specialist visits, etc. We’ll also be reaching out to people who we’ve been unable to see for appointments. If you don’t hear from us, call us. Thank you for sticking by us during this tragic time in beautiful St. Pete Beach and its vibrant community.

Dr. Rose went in early to check on the clinic’s status and still no power. Milton really had his way with this county! Please follow our page for updates as we will begin making calls to people when we get power again! Hang in there!

10/11/2024

Well, Duke Energy has sent out information that Pinellas County will not receive power until the middle of Tuesday night. We will keep in touch and let you all know if indeed we will reopen on Wednesday. We have to retrieve our refrigerated supplies from an area of town that does have power and the owners have been kind enough to lend us space. We will be in touch!

10/11/2024

Dr. Rose has been to clinic this morning and it is still without power. We will continue to monitor through the weekend and hopefully have a positive update on Sunday evening. We will be staying in touch through Facebook as to the status of things. Thank you for your patience and we miss seeing you and your pets and just the normal rhythm of life as we all do right now. This will pass and our community will be stronger because of it.

10/10/2024

We hope everyone is safe after the storm. We will be closed the rest of the week and hopefully the power and potable water and sewage will be back up by Monday. If we will be able to get back to work on Monday, we’ll be able to answer phones and make calls to those of you who have had appointments lost this week because of the weather chaos we have all endured. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these extremely difficult last two weeks.

Unfortunately, Uncle Milton wants a turn now. 😒 We will be closed until this Wednesday and then assess the situation for Thursday. Everyone stay safe and evacuate if you are told to do so! We hope to see you very soon!

10/06/2024

We are paying careful attention to Milton. We’ll know more about how much we’ll be able to get back to regular hours on Thursday after it passes.

The water situation in St. Pete Beach has improved a bit. Water still must be boiled for use and toilets must be flushed only when necessary. (When yellow, let it mellow. 😂), so Friday we’ll begin opening up at least 8-12 and we’ll be taking calls to try and accommodate your pets as best we can. Thank you for your patience and support. We have the best, loyal clientele! Dr. Rose is ready to see your beloved pets. Give us a call. We are doing our best with the limited access to water, but look forward to seeing you. We know many of you have lost your homes and Dr. Rose and Candy have as well, but we are ready to see familiar faces and be SPB STRONG! ❤️

St. Pete. Beach Veterinary Clinic is thankfully ok and dry. We are not operational right now because of the lack of water. When we are able to get back to helping your pets, we will let you know ASAP. Stay safe. We know everyone is suffering right now, but we will get through this together as a community.

We are in desperate need of old towels! Any donations would be greatly appreciated!
