It's hard to believe it's been almost two years since I started Dog Nuance Dog Training! The journey has been a whirlwind, and I’m incredibly proud of how far the business has come. 2024 was a huge year of growth and accomplishments, including launching new services, hosting pack walks, and helping train over 100 dogs! The Shelter Drive was also a highlight—we donated hundreds of lbs of supplies to local shelters this season.
Looking ahead to 2025, I have even bigger plans in motion. I’ll be launching a new premium service soon: Training Walks & Enrichment Services—designed to keep your dogs happy, fulfilled, and well-trained. I’m also excited to announce that I’ll be releasing a book this year, diving deep into my nuanced approach to training that focuses on building better relationships between dogs and humans. Additionally, I hope to partner with local shelters and potentially secure a facility for group classes and training.
And this is just the beginning. By 2026, my vision includes opening an official Dog Nuance facility, offering expanded services like board & train programs, service dog training, and digital training options. Eventually, I aim to establish the Dog Nuance Academy to continue advancing my mission of training and enrichment for dogs and their humans.

Happy New Year, everyone!

2024 has been a fantastic year for Dog Nuance Dog Training, and I’m so excited to kick off 2025!

Our pack-walks will continue every other Sunday throughout 2025, with the first one scheduled for this Sunday, Jan 5th, at 11 am. However, due to the forecast of freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall, we may need to cancel this weekend. I’ll keep an eye on the weather and update as the forecast develops.

I’m working on a more efficient way to notify everyone about upcoming pack-walks. I’m considering using Facebook events, Google Meet, or a mix of both—stay tuned for updates on this!

Looking forward to a great year of training and enrichment with all of you!

This amazing girl just wrapped up her training at Dog Nuance, and she absolutely crushed it! Indy is one of the most motivated Pitties I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with—she brought her A-game every session and clearly loved every second of it. 💪🐶

Her family also went above and beyond, mastering their training mechanics and making incredible progress together. It’s so rewarding to see a team like this put in the effort and grow stronger as a unit.

Hi guys!

Dog Nuance Dog Training is partnering with Rhodes Custom Finishes Painting Company for a local animal shelter donation drive—and we need your help! 🐾

From November 7 - 25, we’re collecting essential items for both cats and dogs. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference for animals in need! Here’s what we’re looking for:

Dry Food (open & labeled is okay!)

Toys & Treats

Leashes, Collars, Harnesses

Cages and Clean Beds

Towels & Blankets (gently used is great!)

To make donating easier, we’re offering free local pickup for cages in the Lake St. Louis and St. Peters areas. For all other items, please reach out to us for drop-off location information.

Let’s come together to show some love and support for our shelter pets. Thank you, St. Charles!

Training a "Search!" cue
Training a "Search!" cue

Training your dog to "Search!" is not only a fun & interactive activity, but also provides numerous benefits for both you & your pup! "Search" functions like an enrichment-cue, it encourages our dogs to BE dogs! This cue is great at getting our dogs to engage with their environment. This allows you to easily utilize grass as a real-world snuffle-mat. Using this exercise can provide hours of engaging enrichment!

When it's been 10-seconds since you last pet that husky-mutt husky-butt

It's important to not repeat a verbal-cue multiple times. By saying our cue, pausing, then using our hand-signal or lure; the dog will demonstrate once they understand the verbal cue. Interested in dog training? Ask me!

Winston has made HUGE strides of progress in his behavioral training! 🤩 Normally he is extremely dog-reactive, but here he makes fantastic choices even when we have multiple dogs screaming at us from across the street! Don't have enough time to learn dog training? I now offer solo training, I'll show up to your home and do all the training on my own! This good boy picked up many new cues with ease in our very 1st session.
