We're talking about nail health!
We're going over 5 reasons why nail trims are so important to your dog.
1. As your dog's nail grows, the quick grows with it.
2. When their nails are long they scratch, themselves, you, and your floors.
3. Long nails (specifically dew claws) can get caught on things and get ripped causing harm to your dog.
4. Long nails can curl into the paw pad.
5. Over time long nails can contribute to your dog's foot flattening, causing your dog to age prematurely.
So remember to keep your dog's nails trimmed, ideally so they don't touch the ground. You can do this yourself, or bring them to a professional .
