🚨 Rabies Alert in Suwannee County🚨
A positive case of rabies has recently been confirmed in Suwannee county. This is a serious reminder that rabies is a deadly virus that can affect both animals and humans — and it's 100% preventable with proper vaccination.
🐾 What you need to know:
✔️ Keep your pets up to date on their rabies vaccines — it's not just smart, it's required by law.
✔️ Avoid contact with wildlife, especially animals acting strangely or aggressively.
✔️ If your pet has contact with a wild animal, contact your veterinarian immediately.
✔️ Report suspicious or aggressive wildlife to animal control or your local health department.
At Caring Hands Animal Hospital, we offer rabies vaccines for dogs, cats, and ferrets and are happy to check your pet's vaccine status anytime.
