Though I only got to be a part of your life for 2 years you left a forever mark on my heart. Your love for your toys and playing all the time you could. Being by my side every time I hung out with you and your doggie sisters was the sweetest thing. You were a gentle giant and super smart.

A nice evening walk this week with Leo and Yoki. Durning this heat early morning and later evening walks are best especially for your dogs paws and overall well-being. Did you know dogs can get heat stroke when the temperature is 70 degrees or higher outside? Of course there are a lot of other factors that go in to play. Like breeze and the humidity.
Best way to test if it’s safe to walk your dog(s) in the heat is put the back of your hand on the pavement directly under the sun if you cant hold it there for five whole seconds a walk should be a no go.
If you absolutely have to walk them no more then 10mins keep them in the shade as much as possible and bring water for them to drink during the walk.

One of the many different signals dogs are showing us when they feel uncomfortable. This is one way you can communicate with your dog(s) in there language. Tilt your head to the left or right and see what happens. Also do with a neutral facial expression. . . I have done this experiment with all different ranges of dog breads.
