We hope your pet never has to stay with us for a medical emergency...
But if they do, they're basically checking into the Ritz.

Our Well Kennels aren't your average cold, clanky cages. They're more like luxury suites designed with high-tech comfort in mind:

➡️ Each kennel has independent ventilation to keep germs and "kennel cooties" from circulating.
No shared air, no thank you!

➡️We can adjust the temperature (think climate control for Chihuahuas AND Huskies) and even tweak the oxygen levels if your pet needs respiratory support.

➡️the soft lighting and cozy bedding help reduce stress so pets can focus on healing.

Basically, it's ICU-level care, but with spa day energy.
When it comes to patient care, we don't settle for "standard." We go all in with innovation, comfort, and a little bit of style. ✨

Another way we invest in the very best for your pets. Even if they're only here for a short stay.

Emergency Surgery Save 🐾

Meet Kibble!
A sweet pup whose life took a scary turn this weekend. He was first seen by one of our favorite colleagues, Dr. Montor at 4th Street Pet Hospital. Her team did an amazing job with diagnostics and collaborated with us to get Kibble into surgery on a Saturday afternoon, after hours.

What we found was wild:
A rope toy… and not one, not two, but THREE MANGO PITS lodged in his intestines. One of them was dangerously close to causing a perforation. 😳

Even crazier? This is the second mango pit case we’ve seen lately. If you follow Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue closely, we recently had a complex case where a pit was lodged in an esophagus. Those things are sharper than they look!

It’s mango season in Florida, and dogs are getting into fallen fruit. Those pits are sharp, large, and just the wrong shape to pass safely. Please be extra careful if you have a mango tree in your yard!

We’re so grateful for the great teamwork in vetmed, and thrilled that Kibble is recovering well thanks to quick action and collaboration.

As always, thanks to the team for coming in on their day off and staying late to help these pets. We simply were meant to do this kind of work and happy endings like this simply fill our cups. 💕 🐾

What you can't see can still cause a ruff time!

This dental radiograph shows an abscessed molar root hiding below the gumline. It was totally invisible during a regular exam. That's why every dental cleaning at Skyway Animal Hospital includes full-mouth dental X-rays. They help us catch the sneaky stuff, like infected roots, bone loss, or hidden pain your pet can't tell you about.

We're not just polishing pearly whites! We're protecting whole-body health, one tooth at a time.

Clean mouths = Happy pet (and less stink-breath for you!)
