My heart is for the children. I long for them to know their value, their worth, how much they are loved, who they are in Christ, that they were born on purpose and for a purpose. I long to see their little hearts whole and healed. I long for them to keep their innocence for as long as they can or for them to get it back. Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing enough, if anything is happening. But, I know God is here in this place and I know he is working. And, he’s so kind to give me little reminders. This participant was hesitant from his first session. When Jersey stepped on his foot at their first meeting, his hesitation grew to fear. We have been working on building relationship and trust and conquering fear. He has not wanted to lead the Jersey by himself or stand too close to him. Today, he led Jersey through some cones and sat on his back(he just wanted to try for a second or he would normally have a helmet on). His little lips were shaking, but he did it and he was so proud of himself. And, we’ve been working on a Bible verse. He could never remember it, but today he spit it out like he’s known it his whole life. “Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. I pray I am planting seeds of Gods love for them, His nearness to them, and His great plans for them. I pray that God will cause the seeds to grow! Cross Rails Ministries, Inc.
“I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.”
