Sorry for being so quit lately we’ve been working on a big project at home! Cojo can now run free outside, do his zoomies and do his agility course! Fencing in the yard has been a project on my mind for over a year but life just got crazy! Our backyard is a little messy but we can’t wait to make it into the backyard of cojos dreams!
What summer plans have you guys been up too?
My long timers know daisy has been with me since the beginning! She’s the one who went through school with me. She knows over 50 skills. Daisy does not live with us so I haven’t worked with her in quite some time. I decided to take her on a walk today and was worried how her leash skills would be. Boy did she prove me wrong! She 100% killed it 🙌🏼
Session 1 with Groot : owner had to hold him back in fear he would attack me out of fear
Session 10: Groot takes on lowes and is able to walk by people without lunging or growling!
I am so proud of him and mom for being patient and giving him the love and attention he needed to over come these fears!
Groot has the best mom 🥰
Mr.Groot made us all super proud today. 🥺
We’ve been working on reactivity for him. We want him to be comfortable with people in public. Normally he would lunge and growl. Today he noticed them , but quickly checked in with mom and kept walking. 😌
Proof that some things just take time!
Lincoln has been struggling to get “down” on verbal. Tonight it finally clicked!!
Go Lincoln!!
Behavior work is so tricky. Especially dealing with a dog whose history is a mystery. All mom knows is she picked up this 12 week old puppy who was terrified of so much. Today groot still has been dealt the bad card because he has pit in him but he is the sweetest boy.
Groot has issues when people walk in the door. He is just scared but most will look at it as aggression. Today I walked in and Groot only barked at me one time and then wagged his tail to come grab the treat. Mom and I were both so happy.
Things both mom and I agree on for Groots safety is to muzzle him and he has a harness that says DO NOT PET on it so thag she can eventually still take him into public when we get him comfortable too but since he’s a pit we can’t take the chance of someone ignoring all the signs and petting him anyways.
Today we worked on getting him use to a muzzle. We know this one doesn’t fit. New ones on the way but we got him use to the idea of it and just having it touch his face. Eventually he started putting his face in there without being asked!
Cheer on Groot. He wasn’t givin the best start at life but his mom is trying to make this rest of it better ❤️
Sunny days and leash skills are my fav 🙌🏼
Forgot to post this from last week but just in 2 sessions Luna has shown so much progress! We still have work to do so stay tuned for progress videos!
If your in need of leash skill help message me!
Have you guys ever seen a flying weiner? 🌭
The best day to get the agility course back out 😍
Walking with your pup should be fun and relaxing! They shouldn’t be pulling you the whole time. Cojo is allowed to walk in front of me a little but he’s not allowed to pull me or cross back and forth because I would in fact “trip over my weiner” Cojo was never allowed to pull me as a baby I taught him right away how to walk correctly so he doesn’t have bad behavior to reverse. If your dog has years of pulling on them it could be challenging but NOT impossible to fix. If you need help with leash skills message me!
Training during construction
What do you do when your house is a mess and under construction. You work on skills In bed 😂. Can you tell which skill is the hardest for Cojo man?
Ready to be able to walk in a store with your pup?!
I have special packages just for leash skills or we can work on all skills! Shoot me a message. ♥️
Want your dog to know it’s commands on verbal only?!
Message me let’s get started ❤️
Does your dog pull you out the door when you open it? Well Daphney did. But today we learned on how to wait for mom to say “let’s go”. This was after one session working on door manners. Daphney proves every day she can do this!
What a beautiful day to work on leash skills outside! This was max first time in a public place and although I didn’t start videoing till the end, he did struggle at first until he warmed up and remembered he could do this!
Work hard and see results! We’ve been working hard on Ruger “stay” command. Mom told me today she was doing good just struggling to be out of sight. I showed her how to take the next steps and during the sessions she was able to WALK OUT THE DOOR. This is huge. Most dogs see us walk to the door and they go “ooo, we’re going outside!” It’s a challenge and Ruger and mom killed it!
It was a beautiful day to work on leash skills 🥰
Daphney has a lot of work to do as she is easily triggered by things outside. This is our second lesson on leash skills and first time working outside! She did soooo good and mom was beyond shocked that it was possible to not have her arm pulled 🤣
We have lots of work to do but I’m excited to see how they both improve!

Ignore my ugly face but he was so cute 😂. This is Cojo after an afternoon of riding around and sniffing everything. That’s right SNIFFING. we all wonder why our dogs never tire out even if we take them on walks. But the question is are we letting them enjoy it too? Letting them take breaks and just sniff the grass? Dogs tire out more from mental enrichment rather than physical. We can run our dogs for miles but they won’t be as tired like they would if we let them sniff a new area for 10 minutes.
Mental enrichment for them is = to chemistry homework for us. Brain work
Physical for them is the same for us.
Cojo is pooped 😂
This Weather!!! Got all the spring vibes and a perfect day to work on my favorite skill. leash skills!!
Today was Max first day working on this. I always post videos of dogs mastering a skill but today I’m going to show you how everyone starts off with not being perfect.
Todays weather was so perfect we decided to get max outside and work on leash skills. This is max first sessions working on this and only his second session with me. I think he did pretty good!
We have to work on leave it next because max really likes to try and eat Acorns 😬🐿️
