my manure spreaders agitator broke, and I am back to putting manure out at the rented pasture. Funny part is when Monroe and Ramsay started fighting over who is going to spread a pile of horse manure.

Children horse manure is a daily thing. No need to fight over who’s going to do it right now because tomorrow there will be more. 😂😂

Picked up my riding lawnmower today and before I took it home, I decided I was going to take it to the rented pasture and cut the grass and weeds. I did the side pasture first got stuck a couple times but managed to get out. I cut the front pasture and notice it. It really wasn’t working that well, however, I just chalked it up to a soft area in the front pasture took it over and started cutting the grass in front of the barn and I got stuck. There was no getting out of it. Got off the riding lawnmower to pull the lever out in the back so that I can disengage it to manually roll it. That’s what I noticed that the wheel had come off my riding lawnmower. I took it back to the folks that worked on it. The young man and my conversation went something like this.

Me: I’m kind of hard on equipment and I keep on telling my daughter that I really need a tractor. However, she keeps on telling me that I don’t. in the last five years, nothing I have said has convinced her of the importance of a tractor.
Young man: (laughs)
Me: Oh my gosh, I think I sound like a guy.
Young man: (laughs even harder)
Me: Unlike my daughter, if my husband when he was alive would’ve told me that he needed a tractor I would be all up for getting him one. I would’ve been very understanding and said “oh honey don’t worry about it. You have three already. What’s one more tractor?”

I am pretty sure that young man thought I was a kook. 😂😂

Sometimes, I amaze myself and the shocker is the fact that it has happened twice in one week. 😂😂

Normally, I pull these big bales off with a rope and a tree, however, with my rented pasture I found myself having to come up with a different way to do this due to the mud. Well due to the mud and the fact that I am lazy so feeding small bales isn’t something I really want to do.

Diesel trucks and mud are not best buddies because the vehicle is extremely front heavy that even in 4x4 it cannot pull itself out of the mud. In the past when it starts raining I stop feeling big bales.

Strung my rope between the two wood fence post low enough for it to catch on my big bale and I pulled out. It slid off just as pretty as you please. A little bit of a push with the truck to put it in place and life is good.

Sometimes, I even amaze myself. 😂😂
