I am so grateful to 4 All MuttKind for scrambling together to find fosters so quickly. I'm glad each pup will have a playmate and loving family to help them heal.

Thanks to my amazing village, Costco was fully covered today!! Luckily I've got a bigger vehicle now so it all fit!!

I love having a house full of incredible lives I've helped save BUT it does take a lot. I need to do a last Costco run of the year, hopefully, tomorrow.

We go through a 35lbs ($38 - $40) bag of food in a week, sometimes less, potty pads, dental treats, paper towels and cleaner quickly.

Got this girl pretty quickly tonight, just like the others she's super sweet. I'll do a better update tomorrow, today has been a long day.

Let's hope this is the last pup, I believe this would be number 10.

The male pup we got last night is off to his foster family thanks to 4 All MuttKind !! He has a confident older sister to help him adjust.

Now off to contain the one we thought we saw last night. Please let this be the last pup!

This amazing family will be festering the sweet girl from last night! Everyone got along well and she's going to get all the love and kindness she needs.

STOP DUMPING YOUR PETS!! SPAY/NEUTER!!

These two sweet pups must have been dumped with the other 3 we got Wednesday. The male (red) was wearing the same collar as the first two and the little girl was wearing a larger collar that was DOUBLE KNOTTED.

It's never fair to dump a dog, most I trap I can see the unwanted behaviors that are due to human error/negligence. All 5 (9 total) of the pups I've helped have all been terrified (undersocialized) but incredibly sweet and not the Tasmanian devil their breed is known for.

The male is intact (not neutered) and the female may have had puppies not long ago. The red female from 2 days ago was lactating. The 2 little pups found are young but we are worried there may be younger ones.

DO NOT BUY PUPPIES AS GIFTS!! If the suspected puppies aren't dumped then be on the lookout for someone selling young cattle dogs in or near Polk County, Lin County and Marion County. If you happen to see any please get pictures, notify non-emergency and send details in a pm to me.

This is why rescues ARE CRUCIAL! Responsible rescues have a process to adopt, a contract, cover vaccinations and help guarantee spay/neuter. They also keep in contact to verify pet is happy, healthy and take back rather than rehome/giveaway/dump.

Rescue is very complicated and not the glorious life people think it is. Yes we get to help pets but we see the worst in humans. Our hearts are shattered even when we have given our all to help. We are constantly getting contacted to take a pet someone no longer has time for, a human baby is coming, moving and can't take with, the list goes on. Ontop of the plethora of excuses we deal with pets that are abandoned or dumped in the country on a regular basis. The calls are never ending and most humans expect help right this second and when we have to be realistic they become horrible and guilt trip us.

Moral of this long post, us rescuers are beyond exhausted and stretched thin. Do your part and be a good human. Research the breed, train yourself and fulfill the commitment of their lifetime. Pets deserve better.

We are hoping there aren't more out there but have our focus on the property tonight to make sure there's not a 3rd.

Lastly I want to recognize that working together works! Polk County is lucky to have an AMAZING Animal Control Officer (only officer for all of Polk County). It's because of her I've been able to help so many dumped dogs in Polk County. Now it's even more difficult since OHS canceled thr contract, there's no where for these pets to go. That's why working with other rescues is so important!

A week after being rescued, surviving in a forrsted area in Monmouth for 5 days, our amazing vet Four Corners Animal Hospital was able to get our girl in for a spay, vaccines and microchip!! They are the best with all our rescues 🐾💚🐾

Susie Q was very sweet with everyone but did not like being alone in her kennel and may explain some of her injuries. She has 3 broken canines that will need to be pulled once she is recovered from her spay. The dental will be $1,200 to $1,500.

She is ready to start searching for her forever home!! It would be best for her new family to be home more often with her and she would probably like some siblings. She is good with cats and other dogs, kennel trained and loves to cuddle.

She is available for adoption through Little Critters Rescue, if interested in adopting send them a message.

These sweet pups were dumped in Polk County. With the help of the amazing animal control officer and locals, I was able to set the trap and watch each scared girl walk in.

There may be 1 male left running around be we are hoping 8 is all that was dumped. Luckily several finders yesterday are going to foster to adopt the pups and the rest are going to 4 All MuttKind.

Pets are forever, please stop dumping them!

Coco went for his first long trip today and did amazing!

We met my parents for lunch in Vancouver and had a bit of traffic on the way back. He's a perfect copilot just like Scooter. When he wasn't snoozing shotgun he was in the back with a toy.
