Per a conversation with the Sate Vet, "The 2 infected horses are in the same barn in Marion co. Source of exposure unknown. They have not been hauled out. There are no more reported cases. Most likely not an issue or concern at this time. "

REMINDER: PLEASE BE SURE TO PAY YOUR DUES ON TIME
*** Bylaws are posted on the website www.salemsaddleclub.net under the drop down "Bylaws" at the top of the home page.

Membership in the Club may be revoked for any of the following causes:
A. Failure to make timely payments of dues, rents, or any other assessments due to
the Club. A notification of arrears shall be sent by the Chair of the Membership Committee to any member who is past due in making any payment or payments to the Club. If said member fails to make the required remittance in full to the Club within ten
(10) days of the date on which the notification of arrears was mailed, his or her membership shall be revoked without any action by the Board, Officers or General Membership.

ATTENTION ALL SSC MEMBERS: PLEASE READ
It has come to the attention of the SSC Board of Directors concerns regarding the safety of unattended children under the age of 13. Please review the Barn Rules posted on the SSC Website www.salemsaddleclub.net .
ARENA RULES: Paragraph 14
14. Children under the age of 13 must be with an adult, age 18 or older, at all times. Children should be kept right beside you in the arena building and may not climb on gates, arena fencing, or on the bleachers. Please do not allow your children to run or move quickly in the arena building or to be a distraction to the horses using the arena.
BOARDER RULES: CHILDREN
Children under the age of 13 must be in the company of an adult AT ALL TIMES while on the premises. A supervising adult must be 18 years or older. Helmets are recommended for children but not required. Children should only lead one horse at a time even with adult supervision. Riding double is discouraged for safety reasons. Supervising adults should make sure the children are safe and not causing distractions for boarders or horses. Children should not climb on railings, gates, or on the bleachers in the arena.

VIOLATION & TERMINATION
The Salem Saddle Club Board of Directors reserves the right to terminate the boarding agreement and/or membership of any owner who is considered to be abusive to his/her horse(s) or otherwise not providing adequate care as described in the lease agreement.

Effective today. Amanda DeDona will no longer manage the social media for The Salem Salem Saddle Club. The control has been transferred to the Board. Thank you everyone for your wonderful interactions over the last few years. I have enjoyed every minute of it.
