Another Park Ranger educated on ADA Law!
Another Ranger not educated on ADA Law; however he was one of the nicer Rangers I've come across. Kudos to being professional and taking the time to look up the law.
Another unhappy individual upset that I refused to leash up my trained Service Dogs while on a walk/training session at a local 1,300-acre park. Let's continue to educate those ignorant of the law that mobility Service Dogs are not required to leashed, harnessed or tethered, per ADA.
Standing up for our ADA Rights one park and one store at a time. Surprising how many enforcement officers are ignorant of our rights. This was a quick encounter with a park enforcement officer, which did not escalate and ended in a positive note. I had just met the couple in the video, and they had just asked me about people's reactions to my off-leash SD when I was contacted. Fortunately, they saw a positive interaction versus many negative ones I have encountered. Let's continue to educate those of our ADA Rights, re: off leash working dogs and not allow our rights to be trampled on due to our disabilities. Thank you for watching.
A big Thank you to Woodburn Premium Outlets security, staff, employees and customers who respected our ADA Rights and treated us with respect. We have always been welcomed to train here without incident. This is a great place to train & shop with various distractions and kind staff members who are aware of ADA law regarding service dogs.
I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and I appreciate Mt. Hood Community College Staff for respecting our ADA rights and treating us with respect. Great job.
My Service Dog Family. I receive numerous questions regarding off leash work, so I decided to do a quick video regarding the ADA law, which allows your service dog to work off leash. I hope this helps someone out there.
Another Service Dog (Off leash) challenge. ADA law re: off leash Service dog prevails and Park Ranger educated. We will continue to educate any LEO ignorant of the law.
While training at Clackamas Mall, we were confronted by several security staff re: off leash. After realizing I may be correct regarding ADA law, they decided recording with a GoPro camera is against their policy. HMMM maybe these young uneducated security officers need to be educated on the law not just try to enforce their feelings.
A visit to the Woodburn Company Stores to make sure employees, management and shoppers respect our ADA rights re: Service Dog public access and treat us with respect. All the stores we entered were glad to have us and were very respectful. Great job Woodburn Company Stores!!
