Biggie Paws Rescue

Biggie Paws Rescue (BPR), is a foster based 501(c)3 non-profit rescue serving WI and IL. All pets are re-homed based on their specific needs and best interest.

Our animals most often come to our attention through rescues in Texas who we have partnered with to help decrease the homeless pet population and reduce the high euthanasia rates in shelters. We believe by educating the public about the importance of adoption and spay and neuter, we are helping reduce that number and hopefully one day we won’t be needed. All pets will have a home and are “adoptab

le” if we find the right family. All animals are taken to our veterinarian partners for a complete examination, worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering (as breed/age appropriate) and micro-chipped. We provide medical care and a safe, nurturing environment for our animals to enjoy while they await adoption in foster homes. We want our rescued pets to experience love in a real home, getting the love and attention they need while waiting for their new forever families. To ensure these animals are placed into the right loving home, we adhere to a rigorous adoption process. Reference and background checks are performed, adoption interviews are conducted along with virtual home visits. Our overall goal is to ensure the pet is healthy, sterilized, and best match for the potential adopter in an effort to reduce any chance that the pet will be returned. Our organization is 100% funded by donors so that we may provide shelter, medical care, and so much more to the many homeless animals that come our way. We are very thankful for all our fosters, volunteers and donors who contribute their time, money, home and hearts, allowing us to continue our mission of rescuing and rehoming abandoned, neglected and unwanted pets.

Hi there Biggie Paws 🐾 Friends and my soon-to-be fur-ever family !! My name is Russell, and I’m a sprightly 12-week-old mixed-breed puppy. I am a mere 6 pounds of pure cuteness and cuddly 🤗 joy !!

Some things about me …I am a fun-loving little fella with a heart full of affection. 🥰 My favorite pastime is curling up on laps …especially during truck rides or when enjoying those delicious pup cups.🍦 There's nothing quite like feeling the warmth of my humans love while I tuck myself into a soft blanket beside them. But don’t be fooled by my sweet snuggles ! I’m also a bundle of energy !! When it’s playtime, I transform into a mini tornado🌪️of happiness, ready to roughhouse with other pups and tackle my toys of all shapes and sizes. 🤭

Now, let’s talk about a few of my quirks. I’m still mastering the art of potty 🚽💩 training, and while the chilly weather here in Stockton, IL isn’t exactly my favorite …I promise I’m giving it my best shot. 👍🏼 I may still be a novice at manners and obedience, but my desire to please is as big as my personality ! I’m learning to walk like a champ on the leash 🦮 and have already made progress with being crate trained. In fact, I actually enjoy my kennel—the cozy space is perfect for curling up and taking peaceful little naps. 😴 When night falls, I drift off …without a fuss, only to wake up in the morning ready to show off my best stretches and greet my humans with face licks 👅 that will surely make their day !

I thrive in the company of friendly kiddos and can hold my own with other dogs. 🐕 I might find the occasional cat 🐈 a bit scary when face-to-face, but if they run away, oh boy …that’s when the fun begins !! They’re simply too tempting not to chase !

Being a small guy, I might not seem like much at first glance, but I’ve got a world of energy and love ❤️ to share. I’m eagerly waiting for the day I find my perfect match—someone who loves little puppy kisses 💋 and snuggles 🤗 as much as I do.

**Thora: From Shy Sweetheart to Snuggle Bug Supreme (and Stair-Climbing Superstar!)**

This gorgeous girl is Thora, and she's ready to go from shy blossom to full-blown snuggle bug in your loving home! This approximately 4-month-old Shepherd mix weighs in at a cuddly 25 pounds, making her the perfect size for hugs, adventures, and being your official "shadow." She's basically a four-legged, tail-wagging, love-machine in training!

Thora is a special girl with a heart of gold. She's sweet, affectionate, and definitely a "velcro dog" – she'll follow you everywhere you go! She can be a tad skittish when meeting new people, but with a little patience and a gentle voice, she transforms from wallflower to wiggle-butt in record time. Think of it as her own little "warming up" mini-game!

Toys make Thora do the happy dance! Fetch and tug-of-war are her current favorite pastimes, and she's always up for a good play session. Her energy level is typical for a puppy – playful and fun-loving, but she also knows how to chill out and cuddle like a pro. She'd thrive in a home with kids and other doggie pals to keep her entertained and stimulated (she's a social butterfly at heart!).

Thora is also a smart cookie and learns new things *fast*! She's already conquered the couch (a true champion of comfy spots!) and is working on mastering the stairs. Large staircases are still a bit of a challenge (think of it as her "boss level"), but she's determined to conquer them all! Potty training is going smoothly – as long as she sticks to her schedule, accidents are rare. She even lets you know when she needs a bathroom break by standing at the door and giving a little whimper (she's practically house-trained!). Just like any puppy, she needs supervision outside (snow is *very* tasty, apparently!) and around small objects (everything goes in the mouth!).

Thora is a star on walks! She listens well, stops and waits at crosswalks (a true model citizen!), and is learning to ignore other dogs with a little reassurance from her human. She might suddenly stop or look over her shoulder at you (she's just checking to make sure you're keeping up!), but with continued training, she'll gain confidence and strut her stuff like a pro. She's obedient, eager to please, and responds best to positive reinforcement. She doesn't know specific commands yet, but she's a quick learner and ready to impress you with her skills.

Thora is up-to-date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She's received excellent veterinary care and is ready to float into your life and fill it with love and laughter.

**Koda: The Canine Cloud with a Heart of Gold (and Some Serious Jumping Skills!)**

This fluffy little dude is Koda, a 15-pound Poodle mix who's basically a canine cloud with a heart of gold. He's so fluffy, you'll want to use him as a pillow (but please don't – he prefers cuddles!). And he's got some *serious* jumping skills – we're pretty sure he could win an Olympic gold medal in the high jump for dogs. Just try to keep your cookies on the top shelf... you've been warned!

Koda is a super good boy. He's gentle, quiet in his crate (a perfect roommate!), and comes when you call his name (most of the time – he's easily distracted by squirrels and butterflies, just like the rest of us). He loves playing with his foster brother and gets along great with cats and kids too! Basically, he's a friend to all creatures great and small.

House training is a work in progress – he's trying his best, but sometimes he forgets where the designated potty zone is. Leash training is also a work in progress, so be prepared for some zig-zag walks and maybe a few emergency stops to sniff interesting smells. But hey, it's all part of the adventure, right?

Koda is up-to-date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. He's received excellent veterinary care and is ready to float into your life and fill it with love and laughter.

**Mario: The Pint-Sized Plumber (of Hearts!) Is Ready to Power Up Your Life!**

It's-a Mario! This pint-sized plumber (of hearts!) is ready to jump into your life and fix any plumbing problems...of loneliness! This 8-month-old terrier mix weighs in at a petite 8 pounds, making him the perfect portable pal for all your adventures. He's small, he's spunky, and he's ready to power up your cuddle time!

Just like his namesake, Mario is a super star! He's playful, energetic, and loves to be around his human companions. If you're looking for a lap dog, Mario is your guy. He's a master of the nap, whether it's on your lap or right next to you. He's also got a playful side and will happily romp around with you or other furry friends. He gets along swimmingly with both cats and dogs, so he's ready to join a diverse crew. Kids are no problem either – he's happy to be part of the family fun!

And guess what? He's not alone on his quest! His brother Luigi is *also* up for adoption! Talk about a power-up combo! **Luigi: The Tiny Titan of Tail Wags...and He's Bringing His Brother Mario!**

It's-a Luigi! This tiny titan of tail wags is ready to power up your life! **Zoro: The Masked Marvel of Cuteness (Minus the Mask, But Plus the Cuddles!)**

This swashbuckling sweetheart is Zoro, and while he may not be fighting for justice like his namesake, he *is* fighting for a forever home (and maybe a squeaky toy or two!). This 4-month-old mystery mutt (we're guessing something adorably medium-sized!) weighs in at a hefty 35 pounds, making him the perfect cuddle buddy for movie nights or, you know, epic backyard adventures.

Zoro is a sweet and smart fella who's already mastered the art of "sit" and "down." He's a willing student when it comes to "stay" and "come," which means he's basically canine valedictorian material. He's also pretty well-mannered for his age, which is impressive considering he's probably still figuring out how to adult himself.

**Cassius: A Court of Cuddles and Canine Charm**

This handsome fellow is Cassius, and while he may not rule the Night Court like his namesake, he's definitely ready to rule *your* heart! This 3-4 year old Tibetan Spaniel weighs in at a sturdy 17 pounds, making him the perfect size for snuggling on the couch - which, by the way, is his preferred sleeping spot.

Cassius is a very affectionate and cuddly guy. He loves being held, petted, and snuggled - basically, if it involves physical touch, he's in heaven! He's a laid-back and calm dude, just waiting for his forever human to relax with. Don't let his chill demeanor fool you, though! He loves taking walks, running, and bouncing around in the yard like a happy little... well, like a happy little canine version of Cassius!

This good boy follows basic commands, greets visitors with a wagging tail and an eager desire for pets, and comes when called. He's also housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and neutered. Basically, he's got all his... ahem... *courtly* duties in order!

Cassius gets along with other dogs, but his feelings about cats are a mystery, much like some of the schemes in a certain fantasy series we know. He may or may not be kid-friendly - a meet and greet would be the best way to determine if he's ready to join a family with little humans.

If you're looking for a loyal companion to share your adventures (and maybe discuss the merits of Velaris versus Prythian), Cassius is waiting! Just be warned, he may steal your heart (and your spot on the couch).
