For those interested in road updates…I drove from South Salem to North Salem and back to SE Salem this morning at 6am. It wasn’t too bad! I used an AWD Sedan with pretty crappy tires (in the snow) and had minimal issues…it’s still a bit slick but thankfully, not an ice rink this morning.

Sarge is a wonderful almost 2 year-old Blue Heeler who has been coming to The Dog Bark for about a year. He is up for adoption! He is an absolutely wonderful dog and is very loved by his owner but she doesn’t feel she has enough time to give to him because he is a very active young man and if you understand the breed, you know they must have a “job” and an owner who understands they must be the Alpha in the relationship. Any potential adoptees will want to fully understand the personality of the Blue Heeler breed because they are very strong willed, protective and high-energy. I will add what his owner has to say about him below.

“Sarge is 2yrs in October. He's a snuggler in the morning and loves to be where you are. Loves car rides, playing on the beach and playing with his buddy, the cat. Plays well with other dogs, but has a very high energy level. He always wants something to do. He's protective, and could use someone patient to train him. Does ok on leash, but could use more guidance. I'm finding he needs more attention and things to keep him occupied.”
