Soldier eagerly awaiting for Dr. Rowlens to do his exam. Been getting check Ups every 3 to 4 weeks for his heart. This time we will be doing blood work and an xray if soldier will let us. And hopefully a nail trim. Soldier does not like to have his nails trim and previously he would have to be completely knocked out but with his heart murmur doc does not want to knock him out but try some meds to make him sleepy. Soldier is the most gentlest dog but he can become a monster when it comes to nails and exams lol

Last night we said goodbye to our special girl Charlie. It was one of those terrible situations where help just couldn't come soon enough. Charlie got bloat and i must have called 15 different vet clinics to get her in for surgery. The shortest time wait was 5 hours. By that time she was already fading fast and we decided that surgery was no longer in the cards. Too much of her stomach would have been dead tissue and it wouldn't give her a sustainable life if she even survived. Charlie you will be missed.

One of our standards as great Dane breeders IS BREEDING TO STANDARD!!! if you have no desire to breed to standard please do not adopt a pup from us with the intention of breeding. There are several factors why it is important to breed to standard which i won't get into right now. But i am absolutely against breeding mutts. It pi**es me off that anyone would take our hard work of breeding to standard only to take our bloodline and pair it with something of a different breed!!!

This girl is looking for her forever home. She is very well behaved. Potty trained and listens. She does not prefer to be alone but will manage. She also wants to be the only dog in the house. No other dogs or cats. Please contact me if you feel you can meet her needs.

One of our adopted our pups about a year old needs to find a new forever home. She has become food aggressive. Family is located close to Wyoming on the Idaho side. Bringing her back to us has some challenges however if it comes to that we do have a return contract. If she can find a home closer to where the family is located that would be best.

It's that time of the year when black great dane pups around 9 to 14 months of age start blowing their coat. Black coats will start to turn brownish in collar and then start to fall out in patches. Once the coat is fully blown you'll get that black coat again. This can take all summer long. Some dogs it's quicker than others. Here are some pictures.
