After connecting with a contact on the ground in WNC we were able to make a trip to Banner Elk, NC and surrounding areas to deliver supplies and offer a helping hand. With help from you all we were able to donate over 2,000 bottles of water, 50 cans of dog food, 12 bags of dog food, 9 bags of cat food, 10 bags of cat litter and 16 bags of live stock feed all collected within a few days time. We are so grateful and want to thank everyone who contributed donations to this cause.

The devastation in these areas is life changing for all who called these places home. These folks will continue to need support for many months to come. Please continue to donate if you can and keep everyone affected by the hurricane in your thoughts and prayers. We must also focus on remembering those who lost their lives in this terrible disaster and pray for their loved ones as everyone trys to move forward.

We searched some areas in Beech Mountain, Newland, and Avery County for any stray animals and we were able to rescue six of the cutest little kittens who were all seen by Brambleton Veterinary Hospital and given a clean bill of health. With some extra food and a lot of love these babies will be ready for adoption in about 3 weeks!

At the resource center in Banner Elk we teamed up with a local Roanoke business and food truck Saltys Lobster & CO. They were able to provide delicious hot meals for everyone in need and we were honored to get to help them cook meals for a few hours.

We hope to make monthly trips back to these areas to try and deliver necessities as these people will be repairing and rebuilding for years to come. In the wake of all that has occurred in WNC the strong spirit of these folks rebuilding their lives is beautiful and humbling.

💥HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS 💥

We are currently in contact with shelters around the NC,TN area trying to coordinate a trip to drop off supplies and bring back as many displaced animals as we can safely transport back to our facility in Salem, VA for fostering.

We will be making our first trip down Wednesday or Thursday of this week. If you are able to donate anything at all, everything is needed. Please drop off any items at Biscuits and Bubbles on Main street in Salem. These items will be delivered to those in need. This may be the first of many trips. Thank you all for your help!!
