😭Yesterday a man was walking around a neighborhood lake with a cute doggie. The residents in the neighborhood had never seen the man before, but he walked around the lake and community center for a while with the dog.
😞When night fell, the man was nowhere to be found but the poor dog was still there. Alone and confused, he took refuge on a dumped couch at the community center.
This morning, our medical coordinator (her neighborhood is a regular dumping area) walked up to the park to comfort him and take him to safety. This is not the first time this poor guy has been abandoned. He was found back in 2022 also and the owner on the microchip did not want him and said he had given him away. We are not sure what happened between then and now, but this poor little perfect guy will be looking for his forever home soon. One that will never let him down like this again. 🤬
We are crossing our fingers that he does not have heart worms, but could really use some sponsors for his initial vetting and transport 🙏🙏 We were not expecting another dog and we greatly need the funds to come him😞

This Belle and she came into the rescue with a full blown ACL issue! She had her first evaluation where they confirmed she will need ACL surgery. We have FIVE days to raise the funds for her surgery. We have it set for Wednesday but will have to reschedule if we are not able to raise some funds. We do NOT even have close to the funds to get her the medical attention she needs. This has cost us already a good amount of money that we had planned for on other dog cases. We need donations and we need it quick 😭 This type of financial blow to our rescue would be devastating. DONATIONS NEEDED-We are in desperate need of help so we can help these 2 giant breed puppies 🙏🙏🙏🙏Peanut Butter and Jelly were discarded like trash about 2 months ago in the National Forest in Texas. After seeing multiple posts and nobody stepping up, we thought we could help. We thought we could find a foster. We thought we could raise funds for them. So we had them trapped. Unfortunately, no foster has stepped and we have gotten no donations for food or vetting. Our funds for vetting are at an all time low. We don’t want to stop helping these desperate dogs, but it wouldn’t be right to continue to intake dogs we cannot afford. They are currently needing a foster near Willis, Tx. 🙏🏽They need a patient foster that will help them learn to trust humans and other dogs.We are hoping to raise $600 for their vetting to start ($300 each).If they are heart worm positive, it will unfortunately cost more 😭😭—And their food bill, being giant breed pups, is going to be massive. Fresh outta the bath and still looking for his forever home 🏡 Biff is a great boy!! He came to us so scared and unsure how to be a dog. He is doing absolutely amazing and blossoming before our eyes. He enjoys dog friends, is crate trained, house trained and is food and treat motivated. No kitties for Biff though. We have been working hard on Biff’s skin and he needs a home that can do medicated baths a couple times a month. We are gonna try a shot for itch also to see how that works. Other than his skin (which is way better), this guy is quite amazing.
