How this handsome, loving , dog, kid and cat friendly puppy is still available in beyond crazy ! He has been ready to go for 5 months now. Not only is Tonic sweet but he’s gentle. He’s fully potty trained, crate trained and an all around knockout ! He is almost 7 months old now, fully vetted and neutered. His temperament is amazing and he is so outgoing. Our sweet mama Merlot is going in for her heartworm shots tomorrow and the vet has her at 4 years old. 💗This girl was dumped in a neighborhood and had a litter of babies the day and was rescued. Her finder has been an awesome foster for her but it is time she finds her forever home! 🙏🏽She has been around a lot of dogs and does great with them. She is potty trained and crate trained. This handsome hunk has been dumped a couple times in his life and we will make sure that it never happens again. He’s such a cutie. Have you ever seen a dog that slouches?! Well Calvin slouches. It’s so funny!!! He’s always got one cute ear sticking up and it looks like he has an eyebrow.🤨

Calvin is 6 to 7 years old and still quite the energetic, spunky guy. He weighs around 55 pounds. He loves other dogs, and can get really playful. He’s crate trained, hasn’t pottied in his foster’s house and will definitely tell you when he wants your attention. He needs to learn a few manners, as he jumps on people when he’s excited. But, he’s all around a great guy ❤️❤️

Biff is the longest dog in our rescue!!! He has been with us for 535 days. Read that again…..535 days in foster care. 😭😭😭
He was found dumped in Texas with a crate that was way too small for him and he really deserves to find his forever home 🏠
He has been struggling with skin allergies for a very long time and we finally have them mostly under control. He will most likely need to be on prescription food and steroids for them remainder of his life. This is manageable for the right family!!!
Biff is approximately 4.5 years old, crate trained, likes other dogs, loves a good couch and thinks he’s a lap dog. So, you’d have to love a 60 pound dog on top of you!! He is a bit insecure outside and appreciates if his people go out with him, so he is less scared. Biff does much better around non reactive dogs, but could also thrive in a home as the only dog. No kitties for Biff though.
Biff also completed a board and train to become more confident in meeting new humans and has been doing great. He does great at the vet now and has really come a long way.

Hi! I am Lily. 💗 I am a 2 year old mix with the most beautiful tiger print coat. If you can believe it, I am even more beau in person. I was surrendered when my family moved. I lived with them for two years, but they can’t take me where they are going. My foster family is having the best time caring for me. They even have two pup pals I get to play with. It took a few days, but we get along great now! We play fetch, run around outside and go on lots of new adventures. I am spayed, fully vetted and a healthy, happy girl. She is the lucky one, because unfortunately many of her friends won’t make it out. This is the sad reality of the overpopulation problem in the south.

💔 BARC has her on the euthanasia list and they won’t extend her. They are putting down amazing dogs daily and this is just the way it is in Houston unfortunately. It’s a people problem in this State, not a dog problem.

She passed her dog test and seems to love all humans. That’s about all we know.

We need to raise $850 or we CANNOT help. She is heartworm positive and will need treatment. She will also need to be boarded for a few days and transport is $200.
We will tag her as soon as we raise the funds..

She has so much love to give and all she wants to do is learn. She’s been with her current foster for a little over a week and already knows place, sit, stay, and down. She likes other dogs, she will just need the right owner to walk her through slow intros, since her play style can be a bit much for other dogs at first. She also loves kiddos! She is currently being fostered with an 11, 8, and 3 year old and she loves to snuggle them. What we’ve learned about Peaches is that she just needs a way to release the energy she has in a healthy way. Teaching her tricks or taking her on longer walks are great easy ways to do this! Welcome to the rescue where we stand by our dogs. Where we hear all the excuses in the world and still take back our dogs. Welcome to the rescue who pays everyone else’s bills ( this has ended ) and where our fosters endlessly open up their homes to save these dogs yet again. We have a list of now 10 + dogs that are coming back to our rescue after 1-5 years of being adopted. Why you ask? The dog must be aggressive or have behavioral issues ? NOPE, all of these dogs are great and this is just heartbreaking to see. 💔

We now have to fundraise for dogs we did not plan for and close our recuse intake. Most of these adopters did not pay the medical needed for these dogs and those costs are falling back on us. We temporarily can not take in street dogs or help the ones being put down in shelters each day. It’s very sad to see.

If you are looking to adopt, PLEASE consider an adult dog and DO NOT ADOPT if you are not a committed adopter. We have SO many amazing dogs right now 💗Things change in life but if you aren’t willing to put in the work, TRAINING or time for these dogs, do not get a dog. These dogs consider you family and they do not deserve your halfa$$ commitment.

Calvin need DONATIONS 🛑 - 😭Yesterday a man was walking around a neighborhood lake with a cute doggie. The residents in the neighborhood had never seen the man before, but he walked around the lake and community center for a while with the dog. 😞When night fell, the man was nowhere to be found but the poor dog was still there. Alone and confused, he took refuge on a dumped couch at the community center. This morning, our medical coordinator (her neighborhood is a regular dumping area) walked up to the park to comfort him and take him to safety. This is not the first time this poor guy has been abandoned. He was found back in 2022 also and the owner on the microchip did not want him and said he had given him away. We are not sure what happened between then and now, but this poor little perfect guy will be looking for his forever home soon. One that will never let him down like this again. 🤬 We are crossing our fingers that he does not have heart worms, but could really use some sponsors for his initial vetting and transport 🙏🙏 We were not expecting another dog and we greatly need the funds to come him😞 Please consider donating !! DONATIONS NEEDED-We are in desperate need of help so we can help these 2 giant breed puppies 🙏🙏🙏🙏Peanut Butter and Jelly were discarded like trash about 2 months ago in the National Forest in Texas. After seeing multiple posts and nobody stepping up, we thought we could help. We thought we could find a foster. We thought we could raise funds for them. So we had them trapped. Unfortunately, no foster has stepped and we have gotten no donations for food or vetting. Our funds for vetting are at an all time low. We don’t want to stop helping these desperate dogs, but it wouldn’t be right to continue to intake dogs we cannot afford. Yesterday, he went to vet for his heart worm injections and the vet found another large mass in his mouth. This mass is encapsulating one of his teeth 🦷 and possibly part of his jaw. He will have a big surgery next week to remove the mass, the tooth and maybe some jaw bone. This poor guy has been through so much 😭😭 His bills have been very unexpected and are really draining our funds. We NEED HELP 😞If anyone can donate just $5, it really adds up. $5 FRIDAY HELP NEEDED 🙏🙏🙏 Unfortunately, some of our dogs will test positive for heartworms 6 months after their initial negative heartworm test and intake. This is no fault of anyone’s, as it can take 6 months after infection for the test to show positive. This just happened to our boys Ringo and Yardstick 😭😭😭 They are the sweetest guys, but now have to do heartworm treatment. We are also having the hardest time figuring out why poor Biff is always itchy and yeasty. We are doing lots of tests, meds, baths and prescription diets. His bill is adding up so fast!!! We could really use help with all the vet bills that our kids keep accruing. All 3 of these boys have been with the rescue for OVER A YEAR!!! Feeding them, monthly preventatives and yearly vaccines add up also 💰 They are all looking for very special families.
