Some time over night our sweet girl went to go run pain free forever in heaven….i could say over 10000 words about this mare she was one I grew up with for a good part of my life. She took me to places I never thought I would go. She was the true definition of the American Quarter Horse; she would do pretty much anything you asked her. She had her quirks but who doesn’t; every time we stepped foot (or hooves) in that arena we were a team and she tried her heart out for me no matter what. She was the horse that taught you that softness was the best way to ask. She was my move up horse for barrels and poles and then when I wanted to get into jumping she opened that door for me. She was with me from the arena, to the trails, to just a friend. RIP sweet girl run wild and free!

Something i try and make my girls understand the horse comes first at the end of a show before you relax you make sure the horse gets what they need! If something isn’t going right on your ride you better make sure your horse is 100% in all ways and figure out what rider error you had to make the horse act that way.
