We are nearly out of cat litter🙀 Our kitties (and humans) prefer the pelletized horse bedding from Tractor Supply Co. Our friends at TSC Salem have graciously agreed to store donated bags at the store for us to pick up🫶. The bags are $7.29 each and we go through 10 bags a week! If you are able to donate a bag, we would sure appreciate it. Have a great weekend and don’t forget to check sisaveapet.com for adoptable animals!

🐶 Cain is a 2 yr old boxer mix. He does well with other dogs, is low-medium energy, and is housebroken. How about that irresistible smile?!

🐱 Clyde is a charming 2-3 year old house cat. He’s great with other cats and happy to meet new people.

Help end pet overpopulation - spay or neuter your pet!

The KHS Snip clinic in Louisville is a low cost spay/neuter clinic. Pit bull terriers/mixes can be fixed and vaccinated for under $50! 😳

Book appointments online. Available appointments change multiple times a week. There are currently a few spots open before the end of the month. for males under 45lb.

The Kentucky Humane Society S.N.I.P. clinic is where you should bring your pets to be spayed or neutered.

Diesel and Callie are 2 lovely female cats in need of a home. Their owner recently passed away. They were loved and have sweet temperaments to prove it. It would be wonderful if they could stay together but can be adopted separately. They are inside cats.

🐶 Hannah - a delightful 5 yr old mixed breed dog. She’s friendly with everyone and playful with other dogs. Pretty cute too!

🐱 Spring - an adorable 1 year old friendly kitty. She’s great with other cats and easy to handle.

Grant funding is still available for this program for Indiana cats. No voucher or coupon is needed. If you are feeding outside cats, this is an excellent opportunity to get them vetted for no cost to you.

We know of several Washington county residents who have taken advantage of this opportunity. This keeps unadoptable cats out of the shelter. We appreciate that and so do the cats!

To schedule appointments , leave a message at the number on the flyer. Drop off/pick up times are in the evenings.

Caretakers in Indiana: Funding is still available for trap-neuter-return services through Alley Cat Advocates. Contact us to find out how to schedule your no-cost appointments.

🐶 Bruno - 2 yr old, 35lb mixed breed dog. Bruno is friendly with people and dogs. He is NOT good with cats. Bruno walks well on a leash and seems to be housebroken.

🐱🐱 Navy & Sailor ⚓️ are 4 mo old sisters. They are sure to bring lots of fun to a home! They do not have to be adopted together but sure do make a cute pair 🖤🤍

This is a sweet Bonnie & Clyde.…they only want to steal your heart! They came together and are very fond of each other. It would be nice if they could be adopted together but it’s not required. Adoption fee is $50 per cat and includes spay/neuter & vaccinations.

🥵 DO NOT leave pets in vehicles, even to run a “quick” errand. PLEASE.

🥵 Pets outside should have access to cool and clean water at all times. 💦 No water bowls in direct sun.

🐶 Duke is a 9 month old mixed breed dog. He weighs 35lb. He is an athletic pup and very playful with other dogs. Someone will have lots of fun with him!

🐱 Georgia is a very friendly young adult cat that likes pets and scratches. She does well with other cats.

Hello! Miss Washington County Teen Pageant, Cynthia and I have decided to do another service project! This service project is an Animal Shelter Donation Drive and Donation Box Makeover!

Cynthia and I will be set up at Tractor Supply in Salem next Saturday, August 31st from 9:00am-1:00pm!

Donations accepted: Pelletized Bedding, Dry Kitten/Cat Chow, Dry Puppy/Dog Food (The shelter ask that we don’t collect foods with red dyes in them) Clorox Spray or Wipes, Paper Towels, Dawn Dish Soap, Laundry Detergent, Dial Liquid Hand Soap, 13 gal. Trash Bags, ect.

Monetary donations are also accepted to help purchase paint to repaint the donation box located at the Washington County Animal Shelter!

🗣️ Listen…this is probably the nicest trio of kittens available for adoption anywhere! 😻 They are 4ish mo old. The tortie and tabby are females and the orange is a male. They are sweet and clean kits…and need a home (or homes)! Adoption fee of $50 each includes spay/neuter and vaccines. Come see the Barley litter.

🐶 Singer is a 6 mo old hound mix. He’s a sweet boy, very playful and submissive with other dogs. He currently weighs 35lbs.

🐱 Hayes is also a nice guy! He’s a front paw declaw (came to us that way) that needs an inside home.

🖤🤍🖤🤍 This pretty little girl is Kona. She’s petite so she won’t take up much room on your lap. Kona is a laid back sweet kitty. She keeps her cage nice and clean but she’s ready to move on to a real home - one that won’t toss her out when the newness wears off. Kona is available for adoption at the Salem Animal Shelter. Her adoption fee is $50 - a bargain for a best friend.
