WAG IS HIRING! We are a luxury pet service provider located in Salem, NH and We are excited to expand our team! We are seeking customer-service, pet loving professionals to fill our PET CONCIERGE Position offering both full and part-time hours.

This is a high-exposure role, as you will be the voice, face, and first impression of our salon, where a polished, professional appearance, positive attitude, and a welcoming smile are vital. A successful candidate will understand that exceptional customer service is our top priority and we expect our team members to engage with clients in a friendly and attentive manner throughout the day, requiring commitment, reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to take direction well.
Responsibilities include greeting guest, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, assisting with services, and maintaining an organized and impeccable work area.

This is your opportunity to begin a career in the pet industry, as full training will be provided, while working with an award-winning team that exemplifies best-in-class skill and service.

Wag Grooming Salon is proud to announce award-winning groomer Alyssa Woodman named as Grooming Director.

Alyssa joined the salon in 2019 as a lead groomer and canine cosmetologist. She has been one of the top requested Stylists and Trainers ever since, with many of her clients following her from her previous salon. Alyssa not only strives for perfection, she also takes courses, attends industry trade shows, and competes throughout the year to stay on top of current trends, holistic practices, and safety protocols, then enthusiastically shares it all with her colleagues and clients.

She specializes in Asian-Fusion styling and advanced sc******ng techniques, is a Certified Fear-Free Groomer, and trained in Pet CPR and First Aid. She is finalizing her training as a Canine Skin Aesthetician, while finishing her coursework and national testing to obtain her formal Master Groomer designation. She is a proud member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America and the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists. In 2022, she entered her first competition at the New England Grooming Show where she won multiple awards.

In addition to years of experience and advanced training, Alyssa possesses a passion for perfecting her craft, a commitment to client satisfaction, and a calling to assist others. Prior to purchasing her home and farm 45 minutes away, Alyssa volunteered at Crossroads Church and Dreamer’s Ranch. She mentored youth on work ethic, farm operations, and valuable life skills. These traits, combined with her love of animals, business acumen, initiative, creativity, and willingness to mentor new groomers, made her an outstanding candidate for promotion.

In 2023, she added Mom to her resume as she welcomed her first child. Upon returning from Maternity leave, Alyssa jumped in to assist with operational and scheduling needs left open, after the former manager retired last Fall. She demonstrated her willingness to be a team player, without solicitation or hesitation, making her the top choice to formerly fill the position.

In addition to managing TeamWAG, Alyssa will be assisting the Owner, with expansion plans, marketing directives, developing education programs, and team building.

Though being a new Mom is her top priority, Alyssa finds time to volunteer at her new church’s nursery, attends bible study, is training her poodle for future grooming competitions, spends time with her horse and cow, and enjoys line dancing. Sometimes she even sleeps.
